Angus Buchan delivers word from the Lord to President Cyril Ramaphosa

Farmer evangelist Angus Buchan delivered a forthright word from the Lord to President Cyril Ramaphosa during the It’s Time Pretoria prayer meeting on Saturday.

Speaking to the large crowd of believers, who he had earlier led through prayers of repentance, he said South Africa has tried and exhausted many different plans “but today we are going to change South Africa through the love of Jesus Christ.”

But before moving on to a time of prayer for the nation he said: “There is something I need to do, ladies and gentlemen because I believe the Holy Spirit instructs me to do it.

” We are going to pray for the President, His Excellency, Cyril Ramaphosa. ”

Thereafter, when he opened the time of prayer for the nation, Buchan asked those present  to pray for President Ramaphosa and for other political leaders.

But before that he said he had a word from the Lord for the president, with whom he had once spent an afternoon, and who had been expected to attend the gathering but did not make it in the end.

“I am so sorry you could not make it today. I would have loved to pray for you on this platform in front of all these people.

“But I’ve got a word for you — a very serious word, and also for your government…our government. I want you to hear this very, very clearly because I believe it is from God. And it is with fear and trembling  I bring you this word, Sir,” said Buchan.

He continued: “In 2 Chronicles Chapter 15 and verse 2:  The Lord is with you, while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you.

Two masters
“But Sir, if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. I want to say you cannot serve two masters.”

He told the president that if he tried to please “all those voices out there” he would fail.

“But if you are going to implement the word of God and if you are going to stand up in parliament and in public meetings and say: ‘Thus says the Lord’, then you will be the next president of South Africa in 2019.

“The choice is yours. Matthew 12 verse 30 — He who is not for Me is against Me. He who does not gather with me scatters abroad…

“So you may not put Jesus with all the other gods. He is not an idol. He is alive. He is here and He wants to help you. But you need to acknowledge him and this country will be truly saved. Thank you, Sir,” Buchan said.

At a press conference after the meeting Buchan said his message to the president would have been the same if he had been on the stage with him.

“We are a Christian nation. We tolerate other faiths. But over 80% of this country is Christian. Therefore the Christians need to stand up and speak. We need to read the Bible in parliament daily. We need to implement the 10 Commandments.

“We need to take care of the poor and needy. We need to be outspoken. We need to pray to Jesus because Jesus told us that if we do that He will bless us. If our president is going to be successful He is going to need to be more outspoken for Jesus Christ.”

Buchan said everybody was happy if one mentioned God, because God was anything you perceived Him to be — even an idol on a mantelpiece.

But when you mentioned the name of Jesus Christ people either loved you or wanted to kill you. It has always been like that, he said.

“We have got to be more outspoken about Jesus Christ in parliament and in the schools and in the universities. And we have got to implement the teachings of Jesus,” he said.

Buchan’s word to President Cyril Rampaphosa brings to memory that long before the president made a name for himself as a trade union leader, politician and businessman, he was a Christian leader. In high school he was the head of the Student Christian Movement and as a university student he became active in the Student Christian Movement which was steeped in the liberation theology of the black consciousness movement.

  1. I support Him in all what he said, He said this without fear or favour. He is a true man of God. We really need to pray for our country to be saved. 2 Chronicles 14:7

  2. In God i believe. When He sends His sevent He never make mistakes.God choose Saul to be the first king of Israel because people ask from Samuel a king.Know we are living in a world where people choose themselves and claim to be chosen by God.Zwothe zwi do vhonala musi wa khano.Muhatuli vhukuma ndi Yehova.Mr Buchan Yehova A Songo litsha,U shumisa mulomo wau musi u tshee hone fhano shangoni.Yehova nga A rendiwe,Amen.

  3. I feel this way about our President and other leaders in America. The more Jesus is removed, the more our country loses the good power it once had in the world. I pray both our countries hold true to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thanks

  4. I am reading to my children at the moment about king David and all the other great kings in the bible who had God on their side, but fell once they failed the Lord. Donald Trump might not be the greatest president, But he does not hide the fact about his stance for religion. and thus is why he is so successful. look at his statistics compared to those who was before him. May our president stand up and allow God to lead him in leading SA. May he allow God to help him make SA great again. AMEN

  5. Once again Angus spoke on behalf of all Bible believing Christians in SA. Politics has failed our country, many times the church has been silent but he had the courage to stand up and declare the truth. Our Father is so proud to call you His son Angus. You are a blessing to this nation.

  6. PRAISE THE LORD GATEWAY

Are you people aware that Malachi 3:1-3 and 4:4-6 has been fulfilled?

  7. I thank uncle Angus for being God’s light in our small corner of the world. For his humble yet honest respect of our Leader elect. I pray Mr Ramaphosa will decide with his heart not his head; a great weight has been put on his shoulders.
I also believe he cannot do this call on His life alone. He needs every single Bible believing Christian in our land to hold up his arms in this battle of a lifetime – this battle which has been brought about by wickedness & also by lukewarm faith. We *must* not should. We MUST as a nation stand together & truly show Ubuntu to one another..
. And trust GOD for the deliverance. Thank you.

  8. It is good to have prayers that address the nation in crisis. But for me_ President Ramaphosa and his ANC _ Mr Maimane and his DA and Mr Malena and his EFF_have nothing to do with the Ways of our Heavenly Father. They MUST not be prayed at all_ our prayers should be to the desire that the Heavenly Father could send us a leader who fears HIM.

Paul in Corinthian epistle says beleivers should not send their cases to unbelievers. Same Paul also says he must be followed as he follows Christ.

These to me show that praying for the current leaders of the world is praying amiss_ the Bible warns us of _praying amiss.

The CDP could be the only hope if it only separates itself from the DA by actions as well . It must politic in a manner that does not compromise the Word. To do so it must champion the removal of the Constitution and replace it with a Godly constitution and that constitution will surely focus on the 10 commandments. You know what_ there is a farm as you drive from Alexandria(EC)_ the farmer has the 10 commandments written on his farm along the route to Port Alfred_ I think we should do the same_ have these precepts written on all government offices as a beacon of values and morals from which springs the the Constitution and all other auxiliary laws.

Otherwise our prayers are wayward. We need leaders like Pastor Africa Mhlophe to serve in Governance _Pastor Naidoo to go to governance_ and many like them_ then we can pray for such leadership .

  9. Angus is a bold proclaimer of Jesus Christ. But we must not claim that South Africa is a “Christian Nation” simply because 80% of its citizens name “Christianity” as their religion on the census form. That was the same percentage that prompted the apartheid government to claim South Africa was “a Christian nation”. Then the Bible was read in Parliament. But was the apartheid SA a “Christian” nation? No. The Bible never uses “Christian” as an adjective for a nation. Israel had a Constitution written by God Himself, but seldom lived by it, and often suffered God’s judgment as a result. Jesus is the Saviour of those who repent and believe in Him. Nations as nations cannot repent and believe. Only the people in those nations can do this. And the public profession itself is not enough. Many false prophets who deceive thousands by claiming to be from God are not Christians. “The Lord knows those who are His, and if you do claim to be His, you’d better behave like one” (2 Timothy 2:19). Beware of confusing “the way of personal salvation from sin through Jesus Christ” with “political recipes for good governance in a multi-faith earthly nation”. Even Jesus was realistic when He said “only a few will be saved; most people will be lost” (Matthew 7:13,14). A Scripture to bring sinners to Jesus, quoted by Peter to the Rulers of Israel is Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus”. A Scripture to guide President Ramaphosa is Jeremiah 9:23,24 “Understand and know the Lord” (who delegates ruling power to you, Rom. 13:1). “He exercises Kindness, Justice and Righteousness on earth” – and He expects you to do the same.

  10. Danisa (above) writes: “Are you people aware that Malachi 3:1-3 and 4:4-6 has been fulfilled?” We answer: “Yes, but do not imply that Angus fulfils these predictions of Malachi. Matthew 11:10-14 makes it clear that the Messenger is John the Baptist who prepares the way for Jesus Messiah the Lord.” Angus is a humble servant of Jesus and would not want to be elevated above the greatest prophet John the Baptizer, and certainly not above his Lord, Jesus Christ!

  11. Ithank God for raising up uncle Angus for this time. Mr President listen

  12. “Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of late – and how little revival has resulted? I believe the problem is that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it simply will not work. To pray for revival while ignoring the plain precept laid down in Scripture is to waste a lot of words and get nothing for our trouble. Prayer will become effective when we stop using it as a substitute for obedience.” – A.W. Tozer

“Christianity is a faith system that is based on obedience to the commandments of Jesus Christ, which very few “Christians” adhere to.

The revival that the so-called “Christians” in South Africa is seeking will be in direct proportion to the extent that the Church of Jesus Christ in South Africa is prepared to repent and not according to the size of a prayer meeting.” – John Saunders

“You know, people say that today. “Oh, I am just a saved sinner.”
That is like saying you are a married bachelor. That is like saying you are an honest thief, or a pure harlot. You can’t be a saved sinner. You are either saved or you are a sinner. He came. “Thou shalt call his name Jesus. He shall save his people from their sins.”
He saves us from sins that we have committed and from committing a thousand more that would meet us at the judgment.”
    -Leonard Ravenhill.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.
2Pe 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, and the earth with everything in it will vanish.
2Pe 3:11 Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God,
2Pe 3:12 as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon—the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat.
2Pe 3:13 But we wait for what God has promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will be at home.

    Final Words
2Pe 3:14 And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God’s sight and to be at peace with him.
2Pe 3:15 Look on our Lord’s patience as the opportunity he is giving you to be saved……. – The Holy Bible

  13. Prophet Ezekiel was taken to the temple in a vision, to see the detestable things are done by leaders, women and men. Pharisees and Saducees were unable to recognise God (Messiah, Christ) in Jesus If you have not experience that, it means you are spiritually short sighted, therefore you have no right to call anyone a false prophet. Thank God to servants like Buchan to deliver the message to President. He really need our prayers. Christians should pray for leaders irrespective of their political affiliations

  14. The bible says that we pray for they that are in authority that we may live in peace. So pray for the president and other leaders.
