At the dawn of Spring women young and old, will gather for the “I am an Overcomer” ARISE Women’s Conference which takes place from September 4 to 6 at the Word of Faith Christian Centre in Port Elizabeth.

The conference entails daily seminars with key note speakers who include  former Miss SA finalist Vanessa Goosen, who was charged with drug trafficking and sentenced to death in a Thai Prison and Esther Meshoe, a successful businesswomen and philanthropist.

Goosen found herself pregnant, terrified and alone is a Thai prison after her pleas of innocence fell on deaf ears. She spent 16 years in jail before she was pardones.  Her testimony of her travailing walk to redemption after finding Jesus in a Buddhist dominated country and her deep revelation of God the Father  have deeply touched the lives of many.

Daughter of prominent MP Kenneth Meshoe – it’s no wonder Esther’s philanthropy efforts are noted as the root of her influence nationally and internationally.  Esther is a successful businesswomen and pioneer of ‘Diamonds’ a character development programme which empowers women to discover their authentic beauty. She is characterised as dynamic women yet gracious and compassionate. Both speakers have overcome life’s unpredictable adversities by rising up with courage and conviction.

Women attending the conference can expect a fun filled weekend shared with their girlfriends as they delight themselves in savvy seminars, creative workshops, onsite shopping and beauty treatments whilst indulging in invigorating chit chat over coffee and cake. Proceeds of the conference will go towards ‘Hub of Hope’  which supports four local charities in Port Elizabeth — Cleft Friends a project of the Smile Foundation, Project Hope, Shepherd’s Field Rehabilitation Centre and Word of Faith Missions.

The ARISE registration fee costs R300 per person. Students and pensioners only pay R140 per person. For more information visit www.ariseconference.org.za or call 041 399 4400 during office hours.
