In keeping with Youth Day celebrations, the Durban Christian Centre (DCC) Jesus Dome has invited hip-hop and R&B sensation Cjay to head up this year’s Armed & Dangerous Youth Conference on June 12 to 14, 2015. The atmosphere will be electric as the youth of Durban come together for an exhilarating time with this fire-starter.
A fighter himself, Cjay triumphed over his underprivileged upbringing, becoming one of South Africa’s most successful artists of this generation. He has performed internationally and has worked with international award-winning gospel artists such as Kari Jobe and Lecrae.
The Armed & Dangerous Conference is more than just a conference. Packed with fun and developmental aspects, some of the core activities include edification through the sharing of the Word, development through worship and evangelism seminars, identification and development of spiritual gifts, roof-blowing praise and worship, HIV/AIDS testing and screenings, as well as fun and exciting entertainment in the form of games, and music and dance performances showcasing some of the best talent Durban has to offer.
In the spirit of the house, this conference aims to “win the lost at any cost” as it targets Durban youth from all walks of life, in an effort to empower and instill in them a victorious mindset, encouraging them to be confident and bold enough to face the challenges they may face in this life. DCC anticipates approximately 4 000 young people in attendance at this epic and life-changing event, and is sure that their lives will be changed for the better.
The pre-event consists of music and dance competitions, and a concert on May 30, 2015. Those wishing to enter may do so before the day for a chance to win hefty cash prizes and become thousands of rands richer!
