Bethel Music, the well known collective of worshipers, artists and songwriters hailing from Bethel Church in Redding California, has recently announced that they will be visiting South Africa in March 2015.

The worship ministry will be in Johannesburg on March 25th, Pretoria on the 26th, Durban on the 27th and in Cape Town on March 28th. Fans from Port Elizabeth have started a Facebook page, in an endeavour to garner enough likes, shares and comments to persuade the Bethel ministry team to add PE to their itinerary.

The tour will feature new music from their latest album, We Will Not Be Shaken, which was released on January 16th, 2015. The album recording was held during an evening of worship on a mountaintop overlooking Shasta Lake north of Redding. As reported in Gateway News, a worldwide premiere of the We Will Not Be Shaken film, showcasing awe-inspiring visuals from the recording, was streamed for 24 hours a few days prior to the album release. The album reached number 1 on the SA iTunes chart a week after it was released and currently holds the number 1 spot on the USA gospel iTunes chart.

Ticket sales for the upcoming SA worship nights are set to go on sale this week, as reported on the Bethel SA Facebook page.

  13. Hugh G Wetmore says:

This has sure drawn lots of excited support. I have a question: Is this the same group that is linked with Bethel Church, Redding USA where their leader Johnson endorses Crowder’s occultic “grave-sucking”?

“Bill Johnson has voiced his acceptance of John Crowder. What does Crowder teach? How is that leaven spreading throughout Johnson’s Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM)?

Crowder, kneeling at the grave of Alexander Dowie and speaking to the camera says:
“And we’ve just come to the grave today to release to you an impartation of healing revival, of city building, restoration city-taking anointing, master-building apostolic anointing, and so we just rip it right out of the ground, we just suck it right off his dead bones, in Jesus name, and loose it to you., a healing-revival-glory-master-building-apostolic anointing glory…”

If so, the fans are moving into dangerous territory. If not, there ought to be a disclaimer dissociating the Music group from that Bethel church.

  14. Barry says:

Hugh G Wetmore, as far as I know, Gateway News endorses Bill Johnson, Shannon-Leigh Barry (one of the regular Gateway contributors) attends BSSM, the editor’s church frequently hosts people from Bethel, and the editor himself has been to Bethel in California. Merry Christmas Hugh.

  15. P Flynn says:

    Hi Luchae,
So disappointed that tickets have already sold out in Cape Town. Can Bethel music worship night graciously add one extra night in Cape Town due to popular demand ?
Appreciate if you can convey this request to Bethel. Thank you.

    • Luchae Williams says:

Port Elizabeth fans started a Facebook page to petition the worship team to visit their city! Perhaps Capetonians can find a way to persuade them too! 🙂

  21. Cameron says:

Is there anyway for Bethel Music to host another concert in Cape Town. There is a deep hunger for God and his presence. The tickets will sell out a second time.

    • Luchae Williams says:

Another worship night is not on the cards, unfortunately, as per concert organisers, Wow Distributions.
