Worshipers from throughout Port Elizabeth will pursue the presence of God together next Friday as Burn 24-7 founder Sean Feucht leads a Burn gathering in the city.
Feucht, who is the founder of grassroots global worship and prayer movement Burn 24-7 is back in South Africa to fan the flames of worship and to share what God is doing around the world.
Burns typically last between 24 and 100 hours with the goal of becoming 24-7-365, says Feucht, who will arrive hot from Burns in Bloemfontein and Durban. According to PE-Burn 24-7 organiser, Pete Gooch, the local event, on Friday May 6 at VP Grey in 1st Avenue Walmer will be four hours long. “We hope to start Burn worship and prayer times every second month at different venues around the city, starting at four hours but growing to 100 hours.”
Gooch said the vision of PE-Burn 24-7 was to unite Christians in PE in worshiping the one true God.
He said Feucht, who was a highly sought-after worldwide conference speaker, author, teacher and worship leader would lead the PE Burn in a time of worship, prayer, word and testimony. Feucht has released eight full-length worship albums and numerous teaching resources and leads worship at conferences with Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker, Chuck Peirce, Georgian Banov, Cindy Jacobs @ Morning Star & Bethel. He also travels accross the globe visiting persecuted countries to see God’s presence come and to encourage local believers.
The PE Burn evening will be free but there will be an offering to support Feucht’s travel expenses. Feucht’s CDs and his book, Fire and Fragrance, will be on sale
“Come to worship God and not a band. Expect exuberant free worship, sing your heart songs to Him. Sing a new song,” said Gooch.
“There are already a number of churches and youth groups coming, Lets pack the hall, full of fiery Jesus worshippers. Luke 24 v 32 — Let our Hearts burn together ….. as we Worship Him”
There may also be a worship leaders meeting at 7pm on Thursday, May 5, said Gooch. This will be confirmed later.
