First Mighty Men Eastern Cape a fortnight away

Kouga is bracing for one of the biggest Christian gatherings the region has ever seen — the Eastern Cape Mighty Men Conference from March 2 to 4.

The Karoo Mighty Men Conference carried the calling to host Mighty Men Conferences from 2011 to 2017 and Mighty Men Conference Eastern Cape received the honour and privilege to pick up the baton and carry on with the calling from 2018.

Men who have attended previous Mighty Men Conferences, and continue to travel the country to do so, attest to the fact that the experience can’t be explained to someone else — it can only be experienced for oneself.

“We are just shy of two weeks away from the big weekend and final preparations are well underway,” say the MMC EC organising team.

This year’s venue is Plaas Geelhoutboom which is located about 10km outside Humansdorp on the R102 (Old Cape Road).

Guest speakers have been confirmed and they are all excited and ready to share His word. Speakers include Riekert Botha, Neville Goldman, Piet Jacobs and Louis Els. Some speakers will deliver their message in Afrikaans and others in English. The praise and worship leader will be well-known gospel singer Retief Burger and his band, so everyone is in for a great weekend that will be spent in fellowship with their brethren and our Lord.

The Eastern Cape Mighty Men Conference is also an opportunity to share testimonies (or simply listen to them in awe) while seeking the face of God.

“It will heal, it will inspire and it will affirm your role as man and your most intimate relationship with our God Almighty. Wonderful things happen at Mighty Men Conferences!” say the organisers.

Part of the MMC experience is camping on site for the weekend. Cold water showers and toilets will be available along with vendors who will sell food and beverages. Separate parking will be available for day visitors. The last day of the conference, Sunday March 4, is a day for worshiping with the entire family, so moms, sisters, aunts and everyone in between are most welcome and encouraged to join the men. This service will start at 10am and entrance will be free on the Sunday. Tickets for the weekend at R50 are available now from itickets.co.za or by calling 0861 000 291.

Further information along with a list of prohibited items (the usual – open flames, drones, alcohol and bikes) is available from the Eastern Cape Mighty Men website www.easterncapemmc.co.za and the Facebook page www.facebook.com/mightymeneasterncape which is updated daily. We hope to see you there!
