Feast of Tabernacles events in Cape Town

Cape Town – This year the David and Jonathan Foundation are staging two celebration evenings for the Feast of Tabernacles, one in Meadowridge on Friday evening (September 21) and the other next Saturday (September 29) in Brackenfell, with the focus, “Fear not for the Lord is with you” remembering our God’s saving power in taking the Hebrews out of Egypt.

The foundation is well known in the Cape for their Feast of Tabernacles celebration each year, previously held at Logos Church, Oak Glen and attended by hundreds of people, with dancers, flags and banners and their collectible posters that publicise each event.

This year two venues have been chosen to reduce the distance travelled for those taking part from the southern suburbs, though many are likely to choose to attend both venues. Entrance is free, with love offerings for Messianic congregations.

The Meadowridge event at the Trinity Presbyterian Church at 7.30pm, features the much-loved Paul West and his orchestra and in Brackenfell at the Rotsgemeente at 6.30pm, the acclaimed Cape Town Gospel Choir will aid Gerrida Dickinson and a 20-person orchestra in presenting the usual exceptional evening of praise and worship. Just as in Jerusalem, the Feast at Rotsgemeente will have stalls of artwork, jewellery, books and DVDs and an art gallery of paintings.
