Gauteng woman gets life back after eyesight miraculously restored at church event

Miriam Siyoko’s eyesight was miraculously restored after she put her faith in Jesus Christ while attending the recent AFM of Africa Great Spritual Revival event in Tembisa.

A Gauteng woman has regained her independence and has begun to follow Jesus after He miraculously restored her eyesight at the Apostolic Faith Mission of Africa’s Great Spiritual Revival event in Tembisa on April 27.

Miriam Siyoko from Soshanguve Block TT said she lost her sight in 2014 after she woke up one morning unable to see. Like the woman in the Bible who had an issue of blood for 12 years, she said she sought in vain for help from various places.

“I lost a lot of money trying to have my sight back,” said Siyoko.

She said she was a businesswoman with a bakkie and a house when she lost her sight. She sold both to get money to pay traditional healers and diviners who promised to help her get her sight back.

“I have travelled as far as Cape Town, Durban spending money to get healing. I also visited medical practitioners and doctors who could not figure out what my problem was,” she said.

Restoration
“I used to be led by a hand and would walk around with the aid of a stick. During the revival I heard that through faith in Jesus Christ I could be healed.

“I believed the word of God and I miraculously received my sight. After receiving my sight back through faith, I left my stick at the revival venue on that day and I now walk without assistance.

“This has become a spiritual inspiration to other people that have known me before,” she said.

According to Siyoko, both her physical and spiritual life have changed.

“I have decided to follow Jesus to experience deeper things of God. My sister who stays not far from me as well as other people in the neighborhood are happy for me and they have also started to show an interest in the Lord who changed my life.”

Spiritual blessing
People brought their loved ones to the Great Spiritual Revival event to enjoy the inspiring spiritual message delivered by the international overseer of the AFM of Africa, Reverend Rosewell Zulu.

“It is a privilege to preach the clean, pure, heart-penetrating Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to present the hope of eternal life brought by the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do whatever we can to advance The Kingdom of Heaven,” said Rev Zulu in an interview.

“Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must The Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. All the spiritual blessings received including the healings are free of charge.

“We are a church with an open door and a burning message preaching, the Word of God in a manner that will win souls for Christ and prepare them for Heaven. We preach Christ crucified, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world and we believe in the finished work of the Cross of Jesus,” he said.

Johannesburg-based AFM of Africa’s Pastor Sydney Mthombeni said people came from as far as the SADC region and all the cities of South Africa to attend The Great Revival event from April 26 to 29.

Revival outcomes
“Four people repented, 112 were born again, 20 received sanctification, 15 were baptised in the Holy Ghost, 1 041 were blessed, 218 were spiritually revived and there were many other blessings including 377 who received physical healing through their faith in God,” he said.
