GLS 2016: Meet the speakers — Melinda Gates

Melinda GatesForbes #4 Most Powerful Woman

We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that Melinda Gates, one of the world’s most powerful women, will be joining the 2016 GLS Summit faculty. Here’s why Forbes listed her as the fourth most powerful woman in the world:

Melinda Gates has cemented her dominance in philanthropy and global development to the tune of $4.2-billion (R57.5-billion) in giving in 2015 and more than $36.7-billion (R502-bilion) in grant payments since she founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with her husband in 2000. Her work has inspired other big donors and has changed the way funders think about effective philanthropy: highly targeted campaigns coupled with data-driven monitoring and global collaboration. As the woman with her name on the door, Gates decides the direction of the organisation and reviews the results. Much of her attention is now focused on championing investments in women and girls around the world.

    • Poko, malicious conspiracy theories are alive and well on the Internet. I see the website you link to also says the Zika virus was engineered by globalist governments to justify spraying their own people with poison for political reasons. Another article from the same source suggests that the prolonged California drought is as a result of a secret military operation.

Meanwhile the Global Leadership Summit has a long, credible track record of contributing towards improving leadership skills in churches, ministries and the broader community. The GLS has consistently invited influential Christian and and secular leaders to challenge and inspire conference attendees and there are numerous testimonies that glorify God that have come out of this — including of speakers and conference goers experiencing the goodness of God as a result of their conference experience.

Let’s honour GLS by trusting their discernment in who they invite to the conference and let’s pray that Melinda Gates and other influential leaders who participate in the GLS are drawn closer to God. — Editor
