Church Leadership Group urges PE Christians to join march against state capture, corruption tomorrow

South Africa is in crisis and its time to pray, say the organisers of a half-night of united prayer for the nation in Port Elizabeth ahead of tomorrow’s no-confidence debate against President Zuma in parliament tomorrow.

Word of Faith Christian Centre (WOF) is hosting the prayer event — from 7pm to 11pm — involving 14 Nelson Mandela Bay churches with a vision “to pray that the powerful prophetic words of blessing come to pass in Port Elizabeth and South Africa” says WOF in a press release.

“We will pray for the protection of our children, our families and our spiritual leaders. We will pray that
God’s plan for our city and country will come to pass. We will pray that God will raise up the standard
and that we will see a dramatic change in our crime rate, our economy and the finances of the
households across our city. We will pray for rain. Prayer works. Prayer changes things. Let’s pray.

“We can exercise our God-given authority over our nation to change the destiny of South Africa. The
church of Port Elizabeth is gathering together at Word of Faith Christian Centre to exercise our
authority and call on God to transform our nation. “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of
Heaven.

“Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on
earth will e permitted in heaven” Matthew 16:19 NLT. Don’t sit at home and worry and complain.
Come and pray that God’s will e done in South Africa as it is in Heaven” says Adv
Crompton.

  • The Nelson Mandela Bay Church Leadership Group has also called on churches in the area to participate tomorrow (Tuesday August 8 2017) in a march against state capture and corruption — and for peace and justice.
