Healings aplenty as new church moves into Kwanobuhle hall

New

On Saturday (September 13, 2014) Pastors Akwa and Xabisa Obong will officially open the doors of the new home of the recently established Word of Faith Church in the Kwanobuhle Multipurpose Hall in Kwanobuhle, Uitenhage.

The congregation developed out of home visits since the beginning of the year by Pastor Akwa which were marked by preaching of the Gospel, healing miracles, signs and wonders. Pastor Akwa is a student at the Word of Faith Bible Institute.

The Obongs hosted powerful prayer meetings in their home for some time and when their home became too small they stepped out in faith and trusted God for a place of worship.

The growing church which now holds 10am Sunday services at the Kwanobuhle Multipurpose Hall has several ministries already in motion — namely a Sunday school, a youth group, a women’s group, weekly Bible study and prayer meetings as well as the Ukutobela a soup kitchen which feeds Kwanobuhle community members a cup of soup every Friday. The congregation currently has 80 members excluding children.

At a recent healing crusade held at Word of Faith Kwanobuhle, many oppressed with sickness lined up for a touch from God.

“Our Jehovah Rapha (God Our Healer) saturated the meetings, healing the sick including a crippled lady who walked in with crutches and left the meeting without crutches”, shares Louise Tutu , a member of the church.

“A child born deaf and dumb was brought forward by her mother, God touched the little girl and she began to scream as her ear drums opened and the spirit of dumbness left”, she says.

More information about what God is doing in the church can be obtained from Pastor Akwa Obong at 071 0139 154.
