Jewish community say “thank you”

thankyou
Expressing thankfulness with drums.

With the sound of drumming in the balmy evening air, on Tuesday, the Jewish community in the Western Cape expressed their thanks for support from Christians.

About 60 people gathered at the Albow Centre in Cape Town including invited guests from the Christian community. The Zionist Federation expressed their thanks for work undertaken in many fields, by organisations and private individuals. Responding for the Christian community was Vivian Myburgh, from Stellenbosch, instigator and fundraiser of the one page advertisement in the Sunday Times giving facts, the truth about Israel.

The gathering was treated to lively singing by two Israeli girls, the playing of marimbas by girls from Rustenburg Girls High and a delightful hands on experience for everyone learning to play the Jembe drum.
