Grammy-nominated Christian artist Kari Jobe got a “taste of heaven” at her wedding on Friday, where she got married to her worship colleague and best friend Cody Carnes.

While a wedding is one of the most significant days in a person’s life, the Bible recorded that Jesus performed a miracle of turning the water into wine at a wedding banquet, signifying a life with God only gets better and better as time passes.

As for Jobe, her wedding showed her a glimpse of what heaven is like. “I’m married!!! Yesterday was more than a dream, more than a reality – it was a taste of Heaven,” she wrote on social media a day after her wedding.

As a Christian, Jobe believes that God, who is Jesus Christ, lives in the believers, and that His presence is shown through the Holy Spirit, which is the true and unconditional love. The 33 year old testified of this joy that she’s dreamed of, but was better than what she imagined.

God loves weddings
“I’ve decided that God loves weddings. His presence was stronger than I’ve ever felt in my whole life,” she wrote on Saturday.

Her comments testified of the God’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises as written in the scripture. In June 2013, Jobe gave an advice to young girls and single women during an interview at the K-Love Fan Awards.

“God’s timing is perfect, you know, and everyone’s walking through things that they’re having to trust the Lord for His timing,” she said. “My favorite scripture verse is Psalm 27:14, it says: ‘Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart.’ So, I know that He’s had me wait. I’m in my 30s right now, you know, He’s had me wait because His timing is perfect.”

Besides describing the jubilation that she felt, Jobe thanked her loved ones and friends who were there at the wedding and had been “supporting what God is doing in my life – and now my husband.”

While the wedding only lasted for a day, Jobe and her new husband can expect to experience the first miracle that Jesus performed of turning water into wine as they continue to serve God with their mutual gifts of music and as one unit in marriage.

Jobe is the worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. She has previously won two Dove Awards and has been nominated for a Grammy in 2012 for “Where I Find You” as Best Contemporary Christian Album.

Jobe first released her debut album “Throneroom Worship: Live Acoustic Worship” in 2004. She became internationally famous after releasing her self-titled album “Kari Jobe” in 2009, which shot to No. 67 on the Billboard 200 list, and No. 1 on iTunes’ Christian music chart, and No. 3 on Billboard’s Christian music chart. A Spanish-language version of the album was released under the name “Le Canto”.

Her husband, Carnes, is a worship pastor and artist with Gateway Church in Arizona.

On March 25, Jobe released her latest album, “Majestic,” and her tour schedule can be found on her website.
