Men from different churches, races and cultures will be coming together for the fourth citywide Kingdom Manne Camp which will be taking place at Dawson Farm, Port Elizabeth from October 20 to 22.

“Men are under attack.” These are the words of one of the meeting organisers, Andrew Auld, who strongly believes that the coming together of men from all walks of life under one banner (Christ) will be yet another declaration of God’s goodness and love towards the city.

The restoration of real kingdom manhood and how this will affect and impact businesses and different communities are at the heart of this year’s camp.

Auld believes that the team is organising the event in obedience to God’s request. “It will be a time of equipping, breaking away and God will be dealing with our hearts,” he said.

The camp will take place at Dawson Farm (corner of Kragga Kamma Road and Lakeside Road), where men can expect a great time of intimate worship and fellowship with hundreds of other men. There will also be a time of authentic prayer for Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Athol Trollip who will represent the local municipal government.

Brad Verreynne (lead pastor at Oxygen Life Church), Jay Linge Jadezweni (lead pastor at RUCC PE) and Richard Preston (lead elder at Storehouse Church) are some of the speakers.

The camp seeks to bring oneness to the body of Christ in Port Elizabeth. There are great relationships that are being built between churches and city leaders who are preparing for the camp, said Auld. It is not about any denomination but is solely about the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Organisers are expecting just over 1 000 men from areas as far as Motherwell. The focus is not only on urban areas and those who don’t have camping equipment don’t have an excuse either, as tents will be provided freely.

It is time for the city church to stand together and look beyond race, culture and class to recognise and see that all who are in the body of Christ have one faith and one Father and Lord — Jesus Christ, said Auld.
