A campaign to bring the Mighty Men Conference back to the Western Cape has received the blessing of Shalom Ministries, which oversees the MMC movement in South Africa.
The new MMC WC executive committee were scheduled to meet again tonight (Thursday, June 5, 2014), said Piperjames aka the War Piper For Mighty Men and Jesus Christ, and one of the people who has been working to get Mighty Men back in the region. The last and only MMC to be held in the Western Cape was in Paarl in 2011.
Piperjames said the new MMC WC team has identified a farm which could become a venue for Mighty Men Conferences. They will apply to Shalom to hold a Western Cape MMC in 2015 at a date yet to be confirmed.
“Based upon the date being set for the official conference we will be hosting quarterly events such as men’s breakfast, a one day prayer crusade (families included). Visitations to all the outlaying districts of the WC whereby encouraging all Mighty Men to attend at a church gathering within that said district. We will make a weekend of this as the Executive Committee and sub/working parties from these said areas and anyone else that wishes to join (a sort of mini camping/fellowship) weekend.” he said.
