Mogoeng to take healing campaign to rest of Africa

On Monday (May 25) Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng is set to host an Africa Day virtual prayer meeting with leaders across the continent.

Africa Day is a day that commemorates the formation of the Organisation of Africa Unity, now known as the Africa Union.

Africa, though rich in mineral resources, land and a young population, Africa has been plagued by poverty, poor governance, conflicts and devastation a result of poor leadership. Leaders involved in the 50-Days of Healing Campaign led by Mogoeng have acknowledged that poor leadership in the continent is partly a result of the Church’s failure to disciple nations by teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom.

This meeting is, therefore, a step by the Church to reclaim responsibility for the destinies of their nations.

In recognising the prophetic destiny of South Africa as the place of revival in Africa, the Church in SA is now beginning to walk in the fulfilment of her destiny. It has been prophesied that South Africa is the feet of Africa that had been in chains, and as a result the whole continent couldn’t enter and fulfil her destiny despite many countries having been liberated for over 50 years.

What is interesting to note is that indeed South African leaders like Nelson Mandela, OR Tambo, Robert Sobukwe were not part of the formation of the OAU in 1963, as the apartheid government had banned their political movements.

Among leaders who have confirmed to speak and lead prayers at the Africa Day prayer meeting on Monday are Dr Mensa Otabil, Ghana; Angus Buchan, South Africa; Dr Joshua Banda, Zambia, Bishop Tudor Bismark of Zimbabwe, Apostle Emmanuel Kure and Pastor Enoch Adeboye of Nigeria and Pastor Laban Jjumba from Uganda.

The Bible says “if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, and I will hear from heaven And I will forgive their sins and heal their land.” May God hear our Prayers as we seek His face in this difficult times. Amen
