New Stormie book enriching, transforming

I have always enjoyed Stormie Omartian’s books on prayer. (Power of a Praying Wife, Power of a Praying Parent, etc). In particular, I have appreciated her gift of articulating my heart and my desires in her ‘sample’ prayers which are included in every section of her books to enrich and augment her teachings. I am sure this is true for many, many believers.

So I was pleased to see the same general format in her latest book – short sections of teaching, each accompanied by a beautiful prayer, so easily prayed and understood after a particular teaching focus.

This book lends itself to a slow, prayerful and meditative reading. Chapters are divided into sections which make for ideal daily readings. The reader is taken through a journey of discovering just how much the Holy Spirit is able to lead us into a life of abundance, and to understand the full potential of a life surrendered to Jesus, in all its many facets.

Some examples of chapter headings are: Led to Hear, Led to Worship Him, Led to be Transformed and Led to see Purpose. Examples of section titles are: (in the chapter Led to Follow God) To Care for Your Body, To Resist the Enemy’s Attacks, To the Right Place at the Right Time.

And lots more. I am hoping to whet your appetite with these headings – I have still to finish the book and am myself quite eager to discover what further treasures of understanding await me. Already I am enriched by what I have covered and I am certain that anyone planning to read this book can look forward to a transforming experience.
