Cell phones have become a staple of everyday life in nearly every country around the world. And the business for your business has become extremely competitive, if not cutthroat.

But instead of pouring money monthly into a large corporate conglomerate, believers, through a company called Faith Wireless, now have the option of an affordable cell phone plan that allows them to not only enjoy the same quality of service provided by companies like Sprint, Verizon and AT&T, but also to give back to the Christian community.

With Faith Wireless, 10% of the payment for subscribers’ monthly cell phone bill goes directly to the Christian organisation of their choice. Whether it’s their local church or a mission organization, Faith Wireless helps to funnel funds into ministries that help spread the Gospel around the world.

“This is a passion project for us, and we are trying to speak to a Christian audience,” says Faith Wireless Vice President of Operations Christian Massi, who formerly worked for Verizon Wireless. “With my experience in dealing with the companies I have worked for, I have learned that it’s very important to speak to people’s hearts. I think there are people out there that want to give more [to the kingdom], but they are not blessed with the money to be able to do that.

“Most people these days are already paying for a cell phone. Through Faith Wireless, it allows Christians to give their money to Christian communities in a way that they may not have thought of previously.”

Tim Theriot, a former pastor and now vice president of marketing for Faith Wireless, says Faith Wireless provides a Kingdom purpose behind using its cell phones.

“It helps people find a way to give back,” Theriot told Dr Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Charisma Connection” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “This is a business that we get to run on razor-thin margins on purpose. We want to see most of this money go back into these organizations and power these communities.”
