The church that was caught off guard – Part 1 — Clementia Pae

The evil conference was moved to South Africa

In the early 2000s, I came across a short book by Emmanuel Eni, titled, Delivered From The Powers of Darkness.

The book is a testimony of how Emmanuel Eni, a gentleman of Nigerian descent, was divinely rescued and delivered by the Lord Jesus Christ from deep operations in the dark kingdom.

In his testimony, what strikes me the most was this passage:

In this meeting we had only one item on the agenda: “The Christians”. We then scheduled to hold an African wizard conference in Benin city in 1983. We published it in all the dailies and all the public media. All the forces of darkness were mobilized and we were very confident that nothing was going to interrupt this meeting. In fact, everything was well planned and there was no loophole.

Suddenly, the Christians in Nigeria went into prayers and praises unto their God and all our plans were shattered. Not only that our plans were shattered but also there was real confusion in the kingdom of darkness. As a result, the witches’ and wizards’ conference could not be held in Nigeria. Christians should note that the moment they go into real praises to God Almighty, there would be trouble and confusion both in the sea and in the air, and the agents of Satan would have no resting place. Prayer is like throwing a time-bomb in our midst and everyone would escape for his/her life.

If Christians would realize and use the power and authority God has given them, they would control the affairs of their nation! Only Christians can save our nation.

After the failure of this conference, which was later held in South Africa, I was called back to the sea. When I arrived, I was told from that moment I would make the sea my home and only visit the world for difficult operations. I was given a new assignment: inventing charms for native doctors, in charge of the control room and sending the gifts, i.e. opening of white garment churches (prayer houses), opening of maternities, opening stores and making them prosper, giving ‘children’ and money. These will be explained one after the other:

1. Opening of White “Garment Churches”:

When a man comes to us for an assistance to build a prayer house and help him performing healings etc., he would be given some conditions:
a) He will agree to donate to us one or two souls every year.
b) At a certain level of office in the church the person would be initiated to our society.
c) No member would be allowed to come into the prayer house with shoes on”

Eni shares how a scheduled conference of the dark kingdom was moved from Nigeria to South Africa because the Christians in Nigeria rose up and prayed, praised and worshipped to prevent it from happening.

The same conference was later held in South Africa — successfully. This information made me very angry. I realised that this meant we were not praying enough in South Africa, and were lukewarm in our faith.

A certain man from Nigeria, who is serving the Lord in South Africa, often says: “Nigerians, when they are good, they can be very good, and when they are bad, they can be very bad.”

A sister, who is an intercessor, who I have known for years, used to share that, in Nigeria, those on the side of the Lord Jesus Christ become fully committed and strong in the Lord, while those on the enemy’s side also become fully committed. She said if you are undecided you can die very quickly because both sides are very serious and very aggressive.

I wish you were either one or the other (hot or cold)
In his revelation of Jesus Christ, John the revelator writes a message to the church in Laodicea and says: “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” — Revelation 3:14-15

Anyone who has tasted lukewarm tea or coffee can attest to the fact that it does not taste good, nor does it give one any warmth, especially on a cold winter night.

The same applies to a lukewarm cooldrink  — it is not cool and it doesn’t taste good.

The Lord says: “I wish you were either one or the other. But because you are neither of these, (cold nor hot), I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” To be lukewarm is to be good for nothing.

In his teaching, How to buy gold when you are poor, John Piper describes a lukewarm church as being “half-hearted in their relation to Jesus. They do not have the fervor and the zeal of a true lover of Christ; nor are they outright unbelievers who flatly reject Jesus and make no pretense of faith. They are halfway in between. Christ has a moderate influence on their lives. They are not uninfluenced by the Lord; but neither do they go overboard nor get very excited about the Creator of all. In relation to prayer, it would be safe to say that they probably pray at meals and pause for two or three minutes at bedtime. But they do not burn with a desire for more of God. They do not go hard after him in the secret place. They do not fling the door wide and welcome him into the innermost places of their emotions. But they keep him just outside the door and do their business with him coolly, lukewarmly, through the mail-slot. They like the ancient (but very unbiblical) proverb: Moderation in all things.”

The truth is that we, the Church in South Africa, in general, have been lukewarm. And this has been the cry of those who hear from the Lord and feel His heartbeat. This has been the cry of those who carry the burden for the Church, and for the nations in prayer; the handful of the true men and women of God, who have stood for Jesus and for His truth in this nation.

We, the Church have sinned against the Lord. Being lukewarm is a grave sin. We have resisted the Holy Spirit, lacked passion for Jesus Christ, ignored the word of God, lacked true love, not preached the true gospel, despised the Lord’s rebuke, despised holiness, rebelled, tolerated Jezebel, enjoyed all kinds of sin, and refused to repent.

We have said, we are rich; and we have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ “But we did not realize that we are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked,” says the Lord. And as a result of this, we lost protection on our national borders, deception crept in over the years, and vultures came in and devoured the weak. Therefore we cannot be surprised by the court cases of Omotoso and the many like him.

In South Africa approximately 80% of the population is reportedly Christian. Hopefully, by Christians, we mean, followers of Christ. The question, though, is: “How do we appear in the eyes of the Lord, as that 80% of the population in South Africa?” What is different about us?

Back on our knees, back to God; A call to repentance
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

The Bible tells us that “we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” All, meaning all — that is, me, you, us and them. We have all sinned.

The critical question. though, is: “What does each one of us do, when we realise that we have sinned?” The Lord is calling us to repentance. With the shaking that is currently taking place in our nation, and the judgement and righteousness that is being established, the Lord says: “I will begin in my house.”

“See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[e] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.” — Hebrews 12:25-29

The fire of revival is here, and all that which is not of God will be totally removed. Only what is His shall remain. Divine order and alignment have come, and God’s will will be done.

I struggled to write this message sitting down on my chair, as the Spirit of the Lord drew me down to my knees. The Lord said: “The repentance must begin with you.” I literally wrote this message kneeling down.

South Africa has a high calling to carry the fire of revival to the nations, to preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to win souls and to disciple nations. In order to fulfil this prophetic destiny, the Church has to be in right standing with God.

Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at every street corner. — Lamentations 2:19

With the evidence of Cheryl Zondi and the many young girls that still need to testify in the current Omotoso rape case, we can see that our children are truly fainting with hunger and are dying at every street corner. Not so because of the lack of physical food, but because of the lack of spiritual food.

What is manifesting in the physical realm, is a result of what is happening in the spiritual realm. As a Church, we are responsible for what is happening.

To them that pursue righteousness
1 “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
20 Your children have fainted; Your children have fainted; they lie at every street corner,
like antelope caught in a net. They are filled with the wrath of the LORD, with the rebuke of your God. 21 Therefore hear this, you afflicted one, made drunk, but not with wine.
22 This is what your Sovereign LORD says, your God, who defends his people:
“See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger;
from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again.
23 I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, who said to you, ‘Fall prostrate that we may walk on you.’ And you made your back like the ground, like a street to be walked on.” — Isaiah 51:1-23

The message of holiness and the true prophetic voice
In Part 2 of this article, I will hare about how, as a young Christian, I struggled to speak out against sin, and how I swallowed the hard stone of knowing about a powerful man of God, who lived a double life for almost 15 years — living in sin and covering it up very well. All I could do at the time was cry out to God about it.

But as the Lord grew me as a watchman, and in the prophetic, He kept on emphasising Ezekiel 33:1-11, revealing the responsibility and the duty of the prophet and watchman.

The day came when I could not be silent any longer. Please note that this is not an exposé, but an awakening call to the prophets.

True prophets of God, the Lord is relying on you in this hour — to stand in the gap, to pray, to listen attentively, to hear and to speak.

The Church and nations should not be caught off guard when there are watchman and prophets in our midst.

  1. I absolutely agree with all you say! Christianity’s greatest threat is christianity, which has become a man-made construct: buildings, “confessions,” systems of do’s and don’ts, majority decisions instead of “what does the Lord say” etc. Absolutely sickening! SARDIS CHURCH -dead, etc. Sitting in front of tv screens…Where are the church counsels which are men of prayer and intercession? Thanks for being open minded about the problem of churches in South Africa.

  2. Perfect Clementia. Well said Pieter
