Jeffreys Bay Mighty Men cross lights up

Last weekend, there was a great celebration at Mooi Uitsig farm near Jeffreys Bay — the venue of the Mighty Men Conference in a week’s time — as the Cross of Hope lit up for the first time.

The cross was erected again after the installation of brand-new solar lighting. Previously it could only be seen in daylight, but now it is is clearly visible from miles around.

“When we look at the brightly shining Cross of Hope, we are reminded of Jesus’s words when He says: ‘You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden’ — Matthew 5:14 AMP,” says Robbie Hift, Mighty Men team member.

Eugene Genis, Executive member of the MMC says: “This highly illuminated cross is the result of nearly one year’s work by our team members at our new venue on the Farm Mooi Uitsig, Jeffreys Bay where the Mighty Men Eastern Cape will be held in just over a week’s time.

“We want to honour our Heavenly Father for each man working on the farm in preparation for the biggest God event ever to be held in the Kouga area, from 8 to 10th of March. Glory Halleluja!!!

“Have you bought your ticket yet? It only costs R50 and you can register online at www.mightymeneasterncape.co.za. It’s time to decide who will travel with you and where you will sleep and what food you will bring. Just imagine having a personal encounter with your Great Creator! Wow! That will really be something to remember for the rest of your life. Do not miss out on this life-changing event? Hoping to see you there.”

On Friday March 1, the week before the conference, there will be an evening of prayer, worship and healing at the Newton Hall from 6pm to 8m and everyone is welcome.

Robbie Hift explains: “People are going through some rough times in Jeffreys Bay. I am so aware of families that are struggling financially and in their relationships with each other. Money is tight and many of us are battling with their health.

“So we decided to arrange an evening where men, women and children of all races and ages can come into the presence of our great Lord Jesus and be encouraged and renewed and healed and refocused into fresh new life.

“So we are going to have a great big sound of worship that will give God all the glory, and in the process, we know that the Holy Spirit will be present and will start working powerfully within peoples’ lives to bring about renewal and revival.. You are so welcome. Just come and see what the Lord will do!”

Pastors assisting at the Friday event include Janus Roux, Elliot Tyokwane, Robin Jantjies, Johannes Voorslag and Eugene Genis. The Christian Surfers Worship Band will be hosting the praise and worship.
