LOVE of Jesus on PE streets

cityfeed
LAUREN JONAS sent in this pic of young people who were spotted early on Saturday evening in the Port Elizabeth city centre, feeding, clothing and sharing the LOVE of Jesus Christ with the homeless. “Jesus love you, and he cares for you and he desires to have a relationship with you”, shared a young evangelist to Bongania, a destitute. The people prayed for are drifters who have to hustle for survival. Lauren writes: Many of the homless were men who are merely products of life’s unfortunate circumstances. Gods word states that the harvest is plenty but the labourours are few. These pockets of revival fire in our city are necessary. “This is the great commission”, proclaimed Jaques May, a Word of Faith Bible Institute student. We hope that this FIRE within our young people will continue to burn, burn beyond distractions and disappointment and continues to spread like a WILD FIRE through our the city, the country, Africa and the world, writes Lauren. Indeed it is encouraging to note that on most nights of the week these days there are different groups of predominantly young people out on the streets of PE manifesting the LOVE of JESUS!

Despite the rain that has been pouring in Gauteng, an enthusiastic crowd of Jesus followers turned out for the March For Jesus event in the streets of Boksburg on Sunday. Initiated by Ronel Knipe in July 2010 this event is held in Boksburg every four months and has also spread to other venues. Ronelle says the idea of Walk For Jesus is “to be visible for Jesus, to show who we ‘support’ and to change cities through prayer.
