On Monday nearly half a million people attended the first anniversary celebration of Uganda’s remarkable 77 Days of Glory ( “77 Dogs”) all-night service which started at the Miracle Centre Cathedral in Kampala on September 18 last year and has been held every single night since.

In a WhatsApp message sent from the service, Pastor Ddiba Assadi, said the area was packed with people, and millions of people were watching via live streaming on Channel 44 Television.

Thousands of people, including many Muslims, have come to Christ every week of the service, which was started in response to an instruction from the Holy Spirit to the church’s leader, Pastor Robert Kayanja, to start 77 Days of Glory. After the first 77 days the move of God showed no sign of abating and a second season was begun.

The size and impact of the service continued to grow and the first anniversary was celebrated on Season Five Day 57.

In a message on his ministry Facebook page, Pastor Kayanja posted: “HAPPY 77 D.O.GS ANNIVERSARY everybody! Today we celebrate one year since the Days of Glory Revival started, the day we handed over the Miracle Center Cathedral grounds to our beloved comforter, teacher and helper, the Holy Spirit. Thank you all who’ve stood with us every single day, 365 in total! It’s just the beginning, the best is yet to come! Victory belongs to Jesus, all glory and honor to Him.
