On Wednesday 24 July 2013, the U/ 18 rugby touring teams from UK school, Hampton, donated various clothing items to Cape-Town based NGO, Little Angels. Each touring boy personally bought items along to donate. These donations, along with 5 000 pounds donated by the school last month, are making all the difference at Little Angles.

Little Angles is a Christian based family home in Tokai which cares for vulnerable children until they find a permanent home. “These donations are absolutely fantastic…it really is a massive help” said JP van Rensburg, the vice chairman of Little Angels.

Hampton School have supported the charity in the past through the connection of one of the rugby player’s fathers, Professor Andrew Shennan from King’s College in London.  This year the rugby team’s sponsors challenged them again to raise funds for Little Angels and so 5 000 pounds were raised for the home at a fundraising dinner and auction.

The teams will be in the country for ten days before heading back to the UK.
