Vibrant Northern Arts Festival kicks off on September 22

Port Elizabeth’s vibrant Northern Arts Festival which will be held from Thursday September 22 to Sunday September 25  once again invites the people of the Eastern Cape to come and experience its unique blend of arts, culture and community development.

This will be the 5th successive staging of the annual festival in historic Bethelsdorp. Past festivals have attracted more than 80 000 people and expectations are that this year’s festival will be  the biggest yet.

Watch out for our report next week on an interview with festival founder Billy Paulson, who says that although it is not an overtly Christian festival it was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is based on Kingdom principles. A central purpose of the festival, which is held in an area better known for crime and poverty is to showcase emerging talent and to bring beauty out of people. Sounds like a must-see event indeed!
