WATCH: Record mass Bibles delivery to embattled Nuba Mountain Christians in Islamic Sudan

School Children in the war-torn Nuba Mountains region of Sudan hold aloft Bibles that were delivered to them in May.

In May this year Frontline Ministries (FM’s) set a new record when it delivered 125 000 Bibles and Christian books to the Nuba Mountains where Christians and other groups opposed to Sharia law have suffered years of bombings and food shortages due to scorched earth practices by the Islamic Sudan regime.

According to FM’s Dr Peter Hammond, back in 1998 they delivered the largest shipment of Bibles ever smuggled into an officially Islamic country to that date: 9 700 Bibles and New Testaments in seven different languages.

The 1998 record was broken last year, May 2018, when FM delivered 110 000 Bibles and Christian books (of which over 40 000 were full Bibles). And that record was broken in May, a month after Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir was deposed in a coup. Currently, the team is working and planning for an even bigger Bible and Christian textbook shipment to Sudan to be delivered early next year.

  3. What amazing work.
i realize how much i take my own bible for granted, the freedom i have to read it and carry it where ever i like. What a gift for those receiving a copy. May God multiply this work and strengthen those who take the bibles and physically get them there.
