Between January 24 and February 2, 2015, Worship Central’s global team will be hosting a hundred worship events all over the world, from Vancover to Mumbai, Cape Town to Sydney, Australia. 100 Gatherings is part of an initiative to stir up a heart of worship in local churches, with the aim to inspire a freshness in worship around the world and to foster the release of new creativity within the teams. Worship Central front man, Tim Hughes, shared the heart behind the vision, saying: “January 2015 we want to see 100 gatherings happening all over the world where people come together; leaders, musicians, creatives, production teams; to worship God, to set themselves apart and to consecrate themselves. 2015 will be a year where we will pursue Jesus above anything else.”
This free event will see thousands of people in 100 different locations all over the globe worshiping together and praying fervently to see the worship of Jesus Christ made central in society again. The Worship Central Face Book page is already a buzz with updates from all around the world, as worshipers post photos and stories about their 100 Gatherings experience.
The Worship Central South Africa team will be hosting 100 Gatherings events in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Durban. The events will include a time of worship and prayer, a short video message by Tim Hughes and a time to connect with other worshipers in the various locations.
Worship Central Port Elizabeth and Harvest Christian Church representative, Gareth Hogg, shared his excitement for the upcoming worship event, preceding a visit from Hughes last year to launch the Worship Central PE host church.“It’s a global movement stirring up the heart of worship towards Jesus in our cities and nations and we are so privileged to be a part of it and Harvest is honored to host this event for the city.” shared Hogg.
