South African jews and the nation of Israel will be honoured at a “South Africa Night to Honour Israel (SANTHI)” event in Johannesburg on September 25 2016 hosted by DEISI International, together with Dr John Haggee’s Christians United for Israel.
DEISI will also be hosting its first annual Youth Summit in Johannesburg from 8am to 5pm on September 24, said Olga Meshoe, CEO of DEISI (Defend, Embrace, Invest[in] and Support Israel).
The organisation was established in June 2013 to educate the public on the truth regarding the Middle East conflict and the right of Israel to exist, and exposes people — especially university students — to facts about Israel and efforts by mainstream media, and many international government and non-government organisations to deligitimise Israel, she said. DEISI also taught people that the blessing on any person, community, or nation is linked to their attitude towards the nation of Israel (as set out in Genesis 12:3).
The purpose of the SANTHI event was to bring together thousands of members from the Christian, Jewish, business, political and other communities of South Africa to acknowledge and appreciate the contribution that the Jewish Community of South Africa has made to the various sectors of South African life.
The event would also be a time at which attendees would, through song, dance and addresses by prominent leaders of various communities and organisations, have an opportunity to express their love for, support of and solidarity with the State of Israel and her people, said Meshoe.
Doors to the event will open at 5.30pm and it will commence at 7pm. The event is free but pre-registration is required and can be done online or by emailing email@example.com.
The Youth Summit on September 24 will be addressed by international guest speakers, Pastor Dumisani Washington from Christians United for Israel and Darius Jones from the Vanguard Leadership Group. Aimed primarily at youth, persons of all ages are welcome, and will be equipped with practical tools to uncover the truth and be advocates for truth and justice.
