The “Eat Sleep Breathe – Christian Song and Dance Concert” will be hosted at the Seaside Family Church in East London on Friday, September 19. The fundraiser will feature dynamic vocal group JESS and The Ebenezer Christian Dance Group.

“God has given each of us talents and when we glorify Him with those talents it’s a blessing for all concerned,” shared passionate representative, Kim Hubbard.

“Through contacts via our parents at Gonubie Christian School and Seaside Family Church, JESS and Ebenezer agreed to come together for an evening of song and dance! These are two groups of young, dynamic people touching people’s lives, so we are very excited to have them!” The fundraiser profits will be used to upgrade the computer center at Gonubie Christian School.

Contemporary Christian and classically trained gospel group, JESS, have ministered across South Africa, wowing audiences with their smooth vocal abilities and hearts for worship. The 4 man vocal group has been singing together for over eight years and although they had originally started singing country Gospel music, they soon switched over to a more contemporary style. The vocal group, based in Port Elizabeth, will also be hosting a JESS Comeback Concert on Saturday, September 27 at Word of Faith Christian Centre in Port Elizabeth.

Hailing from The Ebenezer Arts Academy, The Ebenezer Christian Dance Group has been trained in most Biblical foundations of dance including tabernacle teachings, praise and worship dance, including the usage of flags, banners, ribbons, tambourines, billows and props. The genres they cover include ballet, contemporary, modern dance, jazz, hip hop, mime and sign language.

The Ebenezer Arts Academy, was launched in 2009, following the success of their independent dance and drama groups which had been operating since 1990. The vision of the academy is to bring people into a closer relationship with God, cultivating freedom of expression in worship, grounded in Biblical teachings of God’s word. “Our main focus as an arts academy is to restore dance back to God by standing on Romans 12:1-2 ‘present your body as a living sacrifice unto the Lord.” shares Verna Snayers, Ebenezer Arts Academy team leader.

Tickets for the Eat Sleep Breathe – Christian Song and Dance Concert are on sale from Seaside Family Church or Gonubie Christian School at R75 for adults and R50.00 for Youth and children under 18.
