Messianic Testimony events in Paarl, Cape Town next weekend

Shoshanna and Kyle Phillips

Messianic Testimony invites Christians to a gathering at Salem Biblical Gardens (Windmeul, Agter Paarl) on Saturday, May 14.

The event starts at 9.30am with tea and coffee, followed by worship by Damascus Road Worship Ministry. Speaker Jenny Pillay, will share how God called her to start an international prayer ministry to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This will be followed by a time of prayer for Israel.

Shamiela January and Shoshanna Phillips have a joint testimony on their experience together and the importance of forgiveness, reconciliation and unity in the Body of Messiah.

Michael John Walmsley, internationally known archaeologist, will give a 30-minute presentation at Salem’s Open Air Archaeological Museum; with an insight into some of the 3000 year history of the City of David and the First Temple period in Jerusalem.

There will be home-made soup, quiches and muffins for sale; you are welcome to make use of Salem’s picnic and braai facilities after the meeting at R40 per adult. This is a child friendly event – please contact us if you need supervision of your children during the meeting.

On Sunday May 15 at Mowbray Baptist Church, in Cape Town, you are invited to listen to three powerful testimonies from 3pm to 5pm.

Shamiela January and Shoshanna Phillips will share how they came to faith and the impact of rejection and reconciliation on their lives. Shamiela says: “I felt abandoned, rejected, broken into so many pieces but then Jesus found me. I did not seek Him, I did not want Him … I grew up as a Muslim, yet He picked me up, turned my life around, reconciled me to Himself and our beautiful journey began.”

Shoshanna, an Israeli Messianic Jewish believer and her husband, Kyle, are passionate about the ministry of reconciliation; reconciling man to God, as well as reconciling Jew and Gentile to form the One New Man in Messiah.

Pastor Majied Pohplonker will share his testimony of coming to faith in the Messiah. When Majied’s mother-in-law sang Turn your eyes upon Jesus to their 3-year-old daughter, he threatened to take the child to India, never to be seen again by his wife Ann. God intervened supernaturally and Majied, once a strong Muslim, became a follower of Jesus. This led to the loss of not only all his earthly possessions but all contact with his family for over 30 years.

Please bring your friends and family who are open to hear how Jesus changes lives.

Booking is needed for both meetings. Enquiries:  Zhaan 082 537 4300 / leightelli@andre-van-wyk
