WATCH VIDEO: Radio ministry restores hope to desperate Ivory Coast mom

Goli Kalou of Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Praise the Lord! Even in the midst of hopelessness, we are assured that God is the one who changes our hearts.

Overwhelmed by the magnitude of brokenness in the world, Goli Kalou of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, had decided to take her life and that of her son. However, God sent her a reminder that He is still working in people’s hearts.

Through listening to TWR (Transworld Radio) programmes and the loving response to her plight by TWR staff,  she found hope, courage, peace and help to see something beautiful to focus on besides her own hard circumstances.

“I was introduced to Christ, my soul and my eyes found light. I was given the courage to spread that light to everyone with whom I came into contact with,” Kalou said.

Light of the world
“Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 that we are to let our light shine before others so that God can be glorified,” said TWR CEO and President, Lauren Libby.

“We will have a great time on air sharing listener testimonies and prayer requests and invite you to participate generously in the ministry opportunities that TWR Africa is involved in.

“Tune in to TWR Africa for an exciting live broadcast series called Shine Africa, which will take place on Monday June 4th to and including Wednesday 6th with hosts Unathi, Anthony, Branko, Simon, Andy and Lauren.

“The broadcasts will be on Short Wave from 07:00 to 09:00 and simultaneously on DStv Channel 855 from 07:00 to 09:00, inviting listeners to become part of the ministry financially and to celebrate what God is doing through the listeners and ministry of TWR Africa,” said Libby.

Golf champion aims to shine for Jesus

Webb Simpson celebrates winning The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass on May 13. (PHOTO: USA Today)

By Grant Winter

The next biggest golf tournament in the world after the four Majors is The Players Championship in the United States and Webb Simpson was quick to get his priorities right after winning it on Mother’s day Sunday.

First up, I‘m a child of God and He has given me a gift to play golf so it’s all thanks to him or this, said the American who picked up a cheque for $1.97-million which equates to about a hefty R24-million.

There’s big money and celebrity status for those who succeed in professional golf but Simpson, who has always spoken openly about his Christian faith, remains humble and grounded.

The 32-year-old won the tournament with an 18-under-par total of 270, with South African Charl Schwartzel sharing second place on 274. But for Simpson, who did win a Major in 2012 when he captured the US Open, this was first victory in almost five years.

So I’ve had my struggles and at one stage I felt like my game was at the bottom of the barrel and there have been many tears shed over dinner with my wife, Taylor Dowd. But she has stood by me all along, and so have a lot of others who have never stopped praying for me.

Golf is actually a team sport for me. I have all this support so I’m just the one hitting the shots out there, adds the father of four, who dedicated the win on Mother’s Day to his mum Debbie and to the memory of his father Sam who passed away last year, and had introduced him to golf and always told him to never give up.

Tribute to SA golfer
Part of the Simpson team is his caddie Paul Tesori who shares his strong Christian faith and not only did Webb thank the bagman for all the encouragement he has given him, but he also paid tribute to fellow golfer, South Africa’s Tim Clark.

An encounter with Clark exactly a year ago, on the eve of the 2017 Players Championship, helped turn Simpson’s golf around. Clark, the 2010 Players winner, talked Simpson into using the so-called claw grip with his putting. It was on the putting green last year and Tim asked me how I’ve been putting, Simpson recalled. I told him, pretty inconsistent. He asked me had I ever tried the claw grip, and I said no. So I tried it. I liked it. So, thanks to Tim I started putting much better last year. Now he’s one of the top putter’s on tour.

But with Simpson it will always be God first, and not golf. In an interview with The Gospel Coalition, when his game wasn’t at its best, he had this to say: “I don’t see my gifting as unique. My gift happens to be golf, but another guy’s might be preaching and another’s teaching. The Lord spreads us out for his purposes and for our enjoyment of him.

Great Commission
My calling isn’t to be a golfer. Like every other Christian, I’m called to participate in the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. And for me that commission is meeting and having fellowship with the guys on tour and the people I come across.”

And Simpson knows his security is not being good at golf, but being looked after by his Father God: “Any time I hear a bird chirping, I think of Matthew 6, when Jesus talks about how the birds neither toil nor store up for themselves, but God takes care of them. And how much more valuable are we than the birds? It’s a little reminder to me that God is good and taking care of me, no matter what it looks like. He’s always working for my good, no matter where I am.”

And he doesn’t see himself, being a top golfer, as a role model for younger golfers: When young people look up to me, it often sounds something like, I would love to be that good at golf or win that tournament. It’s hard because I know their desire to win a tournament is not bad, but I don’t want anyone to envy me for what I’ve done in golf. I want them to see the light that is inside me. That’s my hope when I’m around young people. I’d rather they be more impressed with Jesus than with me, the golfer.

WATCH historic opening of US embassy in Jerusalem live this afternoon

Today — May 14 2018 — Israel celebrates the 70th year of its miraculous rebirth as a nation after its people were scattered around the earth for 2 000 years and persecuted repeatedly.

On this special day America is making history as the first world power to move its embassy to Jerusalem, thus declaring publicly that this city is the capital of Israel.

The grand opening of the US embassy is taking place at 4pm Israeli time (GMT +3), which makes it at 3pm South African time — and a link to a live-streamed video of the opening can be found on this page.

The event is happening 70 years to the day after President Harry Truman, in 1948, made the US the first nation to recognise the sovereignty of modern Israel.

But despite Jerusalem’s history as the heart of Israel — King David established it as the nation’s capital nearly 3 000 years ago, Israel’s two ancient temples were there and through the centuries of exile Jewish people prayed for Jerusalem to become the capital of an independent Jewish state — there has never been a US embassy in the city until today.

Israel declared Jerusalem to be its capital in 1949 and established its Knesset (parliament), the presidency, the courts, ministries and governmental agencies there. But due to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, only a handful of states, mostly from South America, have ever had embassies in Jerusalem and since 1980 there have been no embassies in the city.

In 1995 the US Congress passed a law stating that the embassy be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem but Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and Barack Obama all used their executive powers to block the move, arguing it would damage the prospects for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

In December 2017, when President Donald Trump controversially announced that the US would formally recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, he said: “Israel is a sovereign nation with the right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital.”

In February Trump announced that the US embassy would move to Jerusalem on the 70th anniversary of the state of Israel on May 14. Inspired by the US, Guatamala will be officially opening its embassy in Jerusalem on Wednesday and political sources in Romania, the Czech Republic, Paraguay and Honduras have been quoted in recent months as saying that their countries are also considering moving their embassies to Jerusalem.

Trump plans to address today’s embassy ceremony in Jerusalem by video from the White House. US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Deputy Secretary of State John J Sullivan will speak at the event. Trump’s daughter Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner will also be there.

Countries that will be officially represented at the event are: Albania, Angola, Austria, Cameroon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Kenya, Macedonia, Burma, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, South Sudan, Thailand, Ukraine, Vietnam, Paraguay, Tanzania and Zambia.

When the state of Israel was established 70 years ago, the Jewish people were emerging from the ashes of the Holocaust in which six million people — about a third of the total number of Jewish people scattered around the world at that time — were murdered in an attempt to wipe out the Jewish race.

The Jewish people’s return to their ancient historic homeland in 1948 — their second return from exile — was a feat that no other nation has achieved and was a miracle in itself.

Twelve hours after the state of Israel was reborn the entire Arab world declared war on the nation. Against overwhelming odds the new nation miraculously defeated its enemies — a pattern that was repeated in the wars of 1956, 1967 and 1973. Even today’s celebrations are being held amidst security threats on many fronts and were preceded by a military operation last week in which Israel remarkably destroyed extensive Iranian military positions in Syria overnight after Iran’s Quds Force fired 20 rockets into Israel.

The Hebrew language which had not been spoken for 2 000 years is now the first language of millions of people in Israel. Surrounded by hostile Islamic dictatorships, subjected to unprecedented global media hostility, and condemned by many nations and organisations who apply double standards to Israel, this tiny nation is a thriving democracy and  a world leader in medicine, technology and agriculture, with a military that ranks among the finest in the world.

Modern Israel quite simply continues to fulfill biblical prophecies about the scattering and restoration of God’s people and the outworking of God’s plans and purposes. The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 have stood up, got breath, tendons, flesh and skin (Ezekiel 37: 1 – 14).

“I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it,” declares the Lord. — Ezekiel 37:14

‘A billion-soul harvest’: The end times ushering in history’s greatest revival?

Christ for All Nation’s Daniel Kolenda at the recent Light the Fire Again conference in Toronto, Canada.

Originally published in Charisma News

Christian ministries have been called streams of God. A number of them are coming together because they believe their unity could help set off history’s greatest revival.

It’s a gathering of some of the most powerful streams of ministry that have been used in revival across the past three decades — much like the Toronto Blessing that started in 1994 and touched millions around the world.

Lighting a fire and forming a river
Now these streams have gathered where that revival began because all believe God wants to light the fire again and hit the world with possibly the greatest awakening and harvest of all time.

Daniel Kolenda is the successor of Reinhard Bonnke, whose Christ for all Nations ministry says it has seen more than 72 million salvations. Kolenda insists it’s because they focus on the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

“It actually makes our jobs quite easy,” Kolenda told CBN News. “We just present Jesus to people, and the Holy Spirit comes in and does the rest.”

Lou Engle, co-founder of The Call mass gatherings, has been leading intercessors crying out for this for more than 30 years.

Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world,” Engle said, quoting John the Baptist. “I’m believing for a mass beholding of the Lamb of God. So many people getting saved. And, secondly, that He shall baptise them with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

John Kilpatrick’s Florida church was the headquarters for the Brownsville Revival that began in 1995. He told CBN News he was assured by God Himself this much larger revival is coming the day al Qaeda brought down the Twin Towers in New York City.

A sign of the end times?
“I watched the towers come down,” Kilpatrick recalled. “And I said to the Lord, ‘Lord, does this mean that revival is over?’ And the Lord responded to me immediately. He said, ‘Oh no. Revival’s not over. I’m going to pour out my Spirit again. But it’ll be in conjunction with end-time events.”

Rick Joyner of MorningStar Ministries believes it’s crucial that all of these various streams of ministry find ways to work in unison.

“Because there’s a multiplication of authority and spiritual authority when you come together,” he explained. “One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put 10 000 to flight.”

Joyner believes that kind of unity among Christians is the best kind of witness to a fragmenting world.

“They’re starting to love each other, come together, have unity, have peace, have joy — all of these things that the world is becoming increasingly devoid of,” he said.

American pastor Randy Clark had come to visit and guest-preach at this Canadian church when the Toronto Blessing burst out in 1994. The surprised preacher had a front-row seat for one of the most powerful revivals of the 20th century. Now he’s expecting something much greater in the 21st century.

A Billion-Soul Harvest
“I do believe in a billion-soul harvest that has been prophesied about,” the Global Awakening founder said.

Clark points out some have prophesied this will be a faceless, nameless revival because God wants to use every willing disciple in the entire Church, not just evangelical superstars.

“It didn’t mean that there weren’t leaders, but that the leaders understood their role was to release the others, the laity,” Clark explained.

From the stage, Engle called the crowd in Toronto to become those disciples rising up from the church pews. He asked them to take off their shoes and shout, “Lord, send me.”

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News,” he declared, saying of the unsaved, “How shall they hear unless there’s a preacher?”

Kolenda explained what God’s after when it comes to harvesters of souls.

“He’s just looking for people who are hungry and open and who will say, ‘God, whatever You want to do, here am I,” he said.

And that’s what these leaders from past revivals, plus more than 3 000 Christians who’ve come to the Light the Fire Again Conference, are all declaring: “God, whatever You want to do, here am I.”

Thousands coming to Christ through Billy Graham’s legacy, even after his death

Originally published in Proudly Gospel

Billy Graham has now been gone from this earth and has been in his eternal home for over a month. While alive on earth, Graham was one of the most famous evangelists of all time; however, his influence did not cease with his death.

Christianity Today has reported that, although Graham’s funeral was hailed as his “last crusade,” his evangelism did not end when he took his last breath.

Many Christian leaders have written tributes to Graham following his death, in which they presented the gospel. The media’s coverage of Graham’s death and his legacy also helped to spread the message that was so close to Graham’s heart.

More than 1.2 million people have visited the BillyGrahamMemorial.org website in the month following Graham’s death. The website includes a clip of Graham on one of his crusades, clearly sharing the gospel message and inviting the audience to make a decision for Christ.

In addition, Christianity Today reports that more than 113 000 people have visited the website StepstoPeace.org in the last month which also features Graham giving a gospel message. According to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 10 500 people said they prayed a prayer to accept Jesus or to renew their faith in Him.

The BGEA offers live coaches online that will chat with those who are considering putting their faith in Christ. They also offer follow-up resources for those who make a decision to trust Jesus.

The interest Graham sparked in the gospel during his lifetime is in no way decreasing with his death. Because he put his trust in God’s Word, which the Bible says “will never pass away,” (Matt. 24:35), his legacy lives on.

Revivalists live-streaming from Toronto Blessing site to ignite next generation

Christ for All Nations (CfaN) will be live-streaming the The Light The Fire Again (LTFA) event next week featuring leaders from some notable past revivals who will converge at the Attwell Center in Toronto, Canada — the site where the Toronto Blessing broke out 25 years ago.

LTFA, from April 25 to 28, aims to rekindle  the flames of revival and igniting a new generation with the fire of the Holy Spirit, says CfaN in a press release.

The event, to be hosted by evangelists Reinhard Bonnke and Daniel Kolenda, who have documented over 78 million decisions for Christ over the last 30 years, brings to mind thousands of testimonies of people who have said they experienced the power and manifest presence of God when they watched video tapes of the Toronto Blessing, Brownsville Revival and Argentine Revival—even decades later, says CfaN.

How to be part of the event
Bonnke and Kolenda invite believers around the world to join in the campaign by live-streaming the sold-out event with friends and family at home or at church. To join the live-stream you should register here: https://ppv.cfan.org/register

Joining LTFA from the Toronto Blessing are John Arnott and Randy Clark. From the Brownsville Revival are John Kilpatrick, Dr Michael Brown, Jeri Hill, Lindell Cooley and Lila Terhune. Imparting from the Argentine Revival is Claudio Freidzon and from the Morning Star prophetic movement is Rick Joyner. Healing evangelist and missionary Heidi Baker and Lou Engle from The Call are adding their passion for intercessory prayer and outreach.

Kolenda says history is in the making right now: “The time is now for a new generation to experience the fire. I believe we are standing on the threshold of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in history. The best is yet to come.”

Cannabis is a gateway drug’, says Australian Health Minister

Originally published in The Christian Institute

Cannabis is a “highly dangerous and addictive drug” that should not be legalised, the Australian Minister for Health has said.

Greg Hunt was responding to a proposal from Australia’s Green Party to legalise the drug.

Hunt slammed the proposal as “medically irresponsible”, arguing that it “risks the health of Australians”.

‘Gateway drug’
Under the proposal, cannabis would be legalised and regulated by an agency set up to monitor the industry.

But branding cannabis “a gateway drug” for methamphetamine and heroin, the Minister for Health said: “We do not believe it is safe, responsible or something which should be allowed.”

The Greens have called for a public vote to be held on the issue.

The party leader, Richard Di Natale, is calling for cannabis to be sold in plain packaging, like cigarettes.

‘Hugely damaging’
Last year in the UK, a report warned that cannabis is a “hugely damaging drug that causes misery”, adding that legalisation would be “a monumental mistake.”

In the report published by think-tank The Bow Group, author David Sergeant highlighted research that shows “an upsurge in the number of people using the drug” in places where it has been legalised.

Sergeant called for the normalisation of cannabis to be resisted and the existing law to be properly applied.

  • The Red Light Love Tour
  • Mighty Families
  • It’s Time
  • Shoeless no more

Last month (available here if you missed it), I just mentioned finding a white wedding dress on a trash dump in the streets of the Red Light District in Amsterdam. Wow! The prophetic importance of that has grown exponentially as time has gone by … keep reading!

This month I want to kick off there.

God is giving out new garments!

As a full time evangelist with a world-wide mission, I get to see a glimpse into what one might call the “bigger picture”. Simply put: God is a good good Father and He is an expert at His job! I get to see signs and wonders that leave many speechless and astounded, but I am so aware of the fact that it is a smidgen of a glimpse into the vastness of His greatness!

The Red Light Love Tour 2018

See the wedding dress the night we found it!

First update from freezing Amsterdam — God is taking down the harlot bride.

Prostitutes got saved healed and delivered again in the brothels!!!!

God showed up powerfully on Sunday when preaching at God’s Embassy — can find a link to this on my Facebook wall. Make sure to like and follow our page to not miss a single thing that God is doing — it is too amazing!

One of the highlights from this entire trip was when a man named Anton got radically healed. You can watch the testimony below. God is alive! My heart is overjoyed with gratitude and all at God’s goodness. He has done so much more than just heal this man physically physically, He has restored him entirely — body, soul and spirit. More of this testimony online. Watch him share below! You will love it!!!

Anton and I spoke this morning again — at his miraculous healing the doctors have said “Impossible!”. His own cardiologist has also said that this drastic improvement cannot have been achieved medically. But of course we know the God of the impossible! Mighty Families

Last year, at the very same place, more than 1 million people gathered to seek God‘s face for our nation, South Africa. This year was my absolute honour and privilege to be invited as a guest speaker at the event Mighty Families.

Click here to view an enlarged image.

God loves family and He wants to heal this nation by healing individuals, but even more importantly families.

On Saturday morning I was spending time with the Lord and He asked me:

“Lindy-Ann, when is your birthday?”

“16th of the 7th month” — I thought to myself.

God had been speaking to me about taking note of times and numbers, for He speaks through everything. He is the God of the universe. I felt led to look up John 16 verse 7: But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send Him to you. That night was my 20 minute slot. I was asked to share my testimony, which I did, but I knew God wanted to pour out His Spirit. Time was possibly going to be a challenge, as another speaker was coming up after me, but God knew and organised the programme in such a way that the band came up after I spoke, giving me enough time to go downstairs to minister to those who would respond.

I made a call for those who wanted to receive the baptism of Spirit and Fire. Many came streaming forward. What a glorious sight! I saw God baptise entire family units. Father and mother standing at the altar with their children — all touched at the same time not being able to stand under the powerful presence of the Almighty. The Holy Spirit is what this nation needs. Jesus says in the book of Acts that we will receive power and boldness when the Holy Spirit comes on us. It is time South Africa. Have you received the Holy Spirit?

There is no time or space in the kingdom — watch the evening below and receive for yourself and your family!

It’s Time

I don’t think anyone quite knew what to expect with It’s Time taking place in Mitchells Plain this year, a place notorious for gangsters, drugs, crime, and alcohol abuse, unfortunately a nest of brokenness. But that is the beauty of God the Father, it reminds me of the parable of the wedding feast, where the guests that were initially invited did not come and the servants were sent out to go fetch strangers in the streets and invite them to the wedding feast that had already been prepared.

Again the theme of new garments was confirmed at this meeting. More than 150 000 people gathered to seek the face of God. The sea of people coming in hoped to see change in our nation, South Africa.

Angus Buchan started to share how God had given him a dream about doing something specific at this meeting. The next thing he did was unexpected — he made an altar call for the gang leaders in the audience to come forward to be saved. To “surrender their gun for the Bible”. I think many thought that no one would come. I know I doubted. This is a huge decision for them to make with big implications. Much time was given in waiting to see if anyone would respond. Suddenly, one by one they started appearing from the crowd. Soon a company of men stood at the altar — broken and hurting leaders of gangs. Then the tears started running as Angus started removing items of clothing to give to these men. First his hat, then his shirt, then his boots and even his Bible. It was a picture of the prodigal son coming home, being received by his father, who was full of unexpected grace and love towards his son.

I do not think there was a dry eye on that large plain. Amazing grace.

Isaiah 61:10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I’m like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels.

The Father so loved the world that He gave His Son and is still giving today — He is a giver.

On the way back on the bus, He gave this man his hearing back:

Shoeless no more
Yesterday, as I was on my usual jog with Jesus, I saw an old man in a suit walking ahead of me in the forest. He looked slightly bewildered and was not wearing any shoes.

I asked him if he was ok and why he has no shoes. He had come from far away looking for a job, and his shoes were walked through and he had no money for new ones. But God.

A seemingly random thought came to my mind earlier that day: “Those spare running shoes I have, I should maybe sell them or give them away to someone”. Then I knew — that was no random thought — God knew this man’s prayer. He knows His children. Andrew got an almost new pair of grey men’s shoes. We “happen” to wear the same size.

That is the King we serve.

God has the same for you

The moment the prodigal son turned his heart and feet towards his father‘s house — the father came running arms wide open with a new robe, a new ring and a new pair of shoes, shouting “Let’s celebrate for my son who was dead, now lives!”

I don’t know where you are in your walk with God as you read this message today, but I want to invite you to come back to the Father’s house. God is calling out to His children all around the world, inviting them to the greatest wedding feast — of which we cannot even imagine the magnitude and splendour!

Will you say yes?

Pray this: “God, on this day I choose to leave my old life behind and come home to You! Forgive me of my sin (name them). I know You have a better plan for my life! I believe in Jesus, the Son of God who died for my sin and sickness, born of a virgin, who rose again and is sitting next to the Father in heaven. So that I too overcame death! Through faith in Jesus I am now born again. I am righteous by faith! I am a child of God! I am a new creation! My name is written in the book of Life!”

If you prayed this prayer today — all of heaven is celebrating for you right now! I would love to hear from you and pray with you myself.

Also, if you have a testimony of a touch from God you received through BWM, please email me at Lindy-Ann@beautifulwitness.com

Remember, all creation is waiting — for you! Go for it!

Till next month…

Democrats must act to stop Islamists from subjugating whole of Nigeria, say top Christian leaders

The influential National Christian Elders Forum of Nigeria (NCEF) — which speaks on behalf of all Christian groups in Nigeria — has called on democrats in the nation to take a firm stand against what it identifies as a deadly, systematic campaign of terror being waged by northern Islamists intent on islamising the entire country and subjugating it under oppressive sharia law. In an in-depth paper published last week the NCEF says the escalating “stealth jihad” has its roots in British colonialism and has benefited from government collaboration with Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen, and from greedy Christian leaders who became “willing tools” by shutting their eyes to what was happening in exchange for money and positions. You can read the executive summary of the NCEF paper, Project Nigeria 2018, below. The full paper can be downloaded here.
Project Nigeria 2018 — Executive Summary

The list is growing every day, even as the river of blood threatens to keep flowing. Southern Kaduna, Dogo Nahawa, Agatu, Nimbo, Aba, Wukari, Wase, Jos, Chibok, Gworza, Biu, Madagali, Michika, Dapchi, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Madalla, Baga, Bama, Yola, etc, etc. The National Christian Elders Forum, (NCEF) is compelled to ask, how did Nigeria get to this point?

In this 42-page paper, the NCEF traced the history of Nigeria to the Colonial dinner in 1913 during which Lord Harcourt, in a cynical and twisted joke announced the approval of the Amalgamation of Nigeria. He likened the North as a groom (a well conducted youth) and the South as a “lady of means” meant to sustain the North. From the onset, the Amalgamation of the Northern and the Southern Protectorates was a financial transaction meant to transfer the burden of funding the North from the British Treasury to the South of Nigeria.

After 104 years of this marriage, the burden has become oppressive with the North claiming the power of life and death and willfully legalized murder all over the country. The British was correct that “Nigeria was not designed to be a great ‘Trust’ but a great ‘Federation’”. However, not only has “trust” broken down, but the attempt at building a “Federation” has also failed woefully.

Quoting The Times of Nigeria during the era, the paper reaffirms that “the amalgamation of 1914 is broadly speaking, the conquest and subjugation of Southern Nigeria by Northern Land”. Not content with the unfair advantage handed over to the North by the British the “well conducted youth” has adopted the reckless and intolerant attitude of religious fanatics and has become an extreme Islamist.

The NCEF distinguished between Islam and Islamism in the paper. While Islam is a religion, Islamism otherwise called “political Islam” is not a religion but a political ideology that holds that Islam must dominate the society. To compound Islamism in Nigeria, the franchise seems to be held by the British promoted neo-colonialists. This ethnic group believes that not only should it dominate the politics of Nigeria, but it also has the right to determine who lives or die.

Hence, it has embarked on Jihad designed to exterminate all non-Islamists in the country. This Jihad affects not only Christians and traditionalists, but also moderate Muslims who are not Islamists of this ethnic stock. Justification for Jihad is found in the Quran’s “Verse of the Sword”: “So when the sacred months have passed, then fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war; but if they repent and establish regular prayers, and practice regular charity, then leave their way free to them; for surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Q 9:5)

These are not hate speeches but words of the Quran and, more importantly, actions of the present government in “collaboration” with Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. These make it incontestable that modern Jihad is taking place in Nigeria after the one by Othman Dan Fodio.

The Islamists of Northern Nigeria have adopted the tactics of global Islamist Jihadists. “One of the most effective tactics employed by Islamic jihadists throughout the world is to intimidate their opponents into silence. Death threats, murders, acts of mass terrorism, beheadings broadcast over the Internet – all these actions are obviously useful to minimize resistance to the jihadists’ agenda.” Nigerians are systematically being cowed into submission to the oppression and domination of the Islamists of Northern Nigeria.

Another common feature of the Islamists is concept of Sacred Space in Islam. This concept is a well-developed one in Sharia. Indeed, Sharia is an aggressively territorial system that holds all land on earth has been given by Allah to Muslims in perpetuity. The concept of Sacred Space also explains why Muslims who conquer enemy territory traditionally erect mosques and Islamic Centers literally on top of the destroyed sacred places of other faiths. And it also explains that once Fulani Herdsmen overrun any community, Fulanis move in to occupy the space left by the rightful owners of the land.

“Willing tools”
The NCEF explains that the Islamists could not have made so much progress if not for the collaboration of some Christian elites and leaders of ethnic nationalities who for pecuniary gains became victims of “stealth jihad”. The greed and covetousness of the elites turned many of them into “willing tools” as boasted by Sir Ahmadu Bello during Independence in 1960. The greatest weakness of the ethnic nationalities in Nigeria is the “willing tools”. Most, if not all, Christian leaders have become victims of stealth jihad. Money and positions in the government in the Muslims dominated federal and some state government especially during elections, made these leaders shut their eyes against due process. In the process they aid in weakening Democracy and thereby promote Islamism. From 1975 Christians, politicians, religious and traditional rulers were recruited by the Islamists to speak for Muslims in defense of its tenets as a religion of peace.

The paper concludes by stating that the British left a country programmed to break up in which one group out of 389 ethnic nationalities saw itself as the new colonial master. The problem is to make the Fulani understand that this is the 21st century and jihad is no longer fashionable. Britain should promote reconciliation by telling the Islamists in Nigeria that Islamism has failed the world and reconciliation is the highest form of forgiveness.

In the meantime, Democrats all over the country must prepare to “shut down” Nigeria if the Islamist Jihadists continue to kill innocent citizens. In other words, democrats must prepare for civil disobedience.

This write up is not intended to mock Islam but to show that while Nigeria was a colony both Christians and Muslims behaved properly, some will say peacefully. However, after independence and incursion of Islamism, Nigeria became two countries in one, one promoting Democracy and the other Sharia stealthily promoting wars against Democracy. What Nigeria needs is true democracy.

Christian rock star goes undercover to rescue sex slaves

David Zach, lead singer of Christian rock band Remedy Drive, has been on a mission to very literally save lives, partnering with an anti-human trafficking organisation to go undercover in an effort to rescue women and young girls from the sex trade.

Zach’s journey started after he began learning more about trafficking and felt compelled to action — a genesis and journey that he detailed during a recent sit-down interview with “The Billy Hallowell Podcast.”

Then, a chance dinner with Matt Parker, founder of anti-trafficking group The Exodus Road changed everything. As Parker told Zach about the organisation’s investigations, rescues and raids around the world, Zach had a visceral response.

“I can’t just sing about this. I’ve got to join you,” the singer recalled telling Parker. “Would you train me and take me with you?”

Listen to Zach share his incredible story:

Parker complied and Zach jumped into the mix. Flash forward a bit and the singer has now gone undercover nine times — all in an effort to try and collect evidence and subsequently shut down human trafficking operations abroad.

“I can’t believe there’s more slaves today than at any time in human history,” he said, going on to explain that the rescue process is anything but easy, as corrupt politicians, police, brothel owners and international crime syndicates make it quite difficult.

It’s also not as simple as walking in, grabbing the young victims and fleeing. Zach and The Exodus Road must strategically plan how they will enter these establishments as faux customers, collect evidence using covert surveillance gear and equipment and then partner with local authorities in an effort to try and take down each operation.

Sometimes, those efforts tragically fail; other times, they are successful.

“We cannot just run with these girls,” Zach said. “It’s not going to contribute to systemic change in the region.”

The singer recalled the first time he met with a victim face-to-face — a young girl who he said was “for sale.” It was a haunting experience that truly put the horrors of trafficking into perspective.

The hardest part, Zach said, is leaving the victims behind inside each establishment during his missions. Zach and other undercover operatives must keep up the appearance that they are truly customers seeking to exploit women, all while they collect the evidence.

“That is the worst thing that I’ve ever had to do in my own life,” he said. “And I’ve done it hundreds of times now.”

It’s truly an incredible story of how one man was moved to take action.
