In a powerful outreach event at a Las Vegas maximum security prison, 110 incarcerated women accepted Jesus and found new life through baptism, led by the God Behind Bars ministry team and bestselling author Jennie Allen.
God’s love has the power to change lives, even in places where hope seems distant. When we give our lives to Jesus, He washes away our past and gives us a brand new start.

Through baptism, we unite with Jesus in His death and resurrection – going under the water represents dying to our old life, and coming up represents rising to new life in Christ, just as Jesus died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life.
The prison gym turned into a place of worship as the God Behind Bars team and IF:Gathering founder Jennie Allen shared the Gospel with 160 women.
The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way, touching hearts as 120 women stepped forward to give their lives to Jesus. The team watched in awe as these women encountered God’s presence and His transforming love.

Before stepping into the baptism pool, one inmate shared her heart: “I went through so much stuff my whole life, and now I am finally able to let go.”
Joy filled the room as more women came forward for baptism. Another inmate smiled and said, “I am so amazed. This is probably the best day in prison ever.”
Jake Bodine, who leads God Behind Bars as CEO, shared some amazing numbers from their years of ministry. They have seen almost one million people accept Jesus and over 10 000 baptisms. Their heart is to reach the 2.3 million people in prisons across America.
Bodine gave all credit to God, saying, “Jesus gets the glory, it’s all about Him. Just remember, your seemingly small YES to God, can go farther than you could ever imagine.”
One special moment stood out when Allen baptised a woman in a wheelchair. This woman had been praying for this chance, telling Allen, “I prayed to God that I would be able to get baptised [in water] and I didn’t think I would.”
Allen, who often speaks at colleges, saw something beautiful in both places. She said, “Colleges to prisons! What do they have in common? They are all DESPERATE for God.”
What she saw in the prison touched her deeply: “They were just weeping while we baptized them. Weeping. And the whole place was cheering [and] going nuts. It was just the most beautiful thing we have ever seen.”
The team from God Behind Bars had never seen anything like it. They shared, “The Holy Spirit FELL on this gym like we have never seen! Women were weeping as 120 of them stood up and gave their lives to Jesus.” For a full hour, women kept coming to the single inflatable baptism pool, eager to show their commitment to Jesus.
This story shows us that God’s love can reach anyone, anywhere. Jesus still works miracles today, bringing hope to people who might feel forgotten. His grace can make anyone new, whether they’re in prison or walking free.
These women’s courage to follow Jesus should lift our hearts. Their story proves that God’s love is stronger than any chain that holds us back.
When we see miracles like this happening today, it should inspire us to say “yes” to whatever God asks us to do. He can use our simple obedience to change lives in ways we never imagined
