A changed lifestyle — Angus Buchan

In the Gospel of Matthew 3:8, the word of God, tells us that we must bear fruit worthy of repentance.  Once we become Christians, we cannot continue to live like we did before — there must be a change in our lives.

In South Africa, we have recently completed the elections. The new government must now deliver on all the promises they made before we voted for them, otherwise there will be no change in what is going to take place in the future.  We hope and pray that this will not be the case!

The same thing applies in a person’s life when they make a decision to follow Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. There must be a difference; they cannot continue to live the same way as they did before they made the commitment.

There is nothing more precious to me than to receive letters after a Mighty Men Conference from family members, who say that their dads, their husbands, their brothers have totally changed. They are no longer drunkards, there is a peace about them that was not seen before they went to the Mighty Men Conference. They are so much more considerate, loving, and gentle. We need to remember that our families are the ones who will be the first to see a changed heart.

Let’s start walking the talk. And I’m not just speaking about men. I’m speaking about everyone. If there is no change in our lifestyle, we need to have a good hard look at ourselves and get back to the drawing board as it were, and ask the Lord to do a sovereign work in our lives, so that we can be good ambassadors for our beloved Lord Jesus Christ in this troubled world in which we are living now.

Jesus bless you
