In this age of Internet we are coming across people sharing so much of their lives on social networking sites without considering the consequences of words.The story opens up scenarios that happen in our everyday lives and brings out the power of words. If you enjoy a good suspense novel this one is for you, it has many twists and turns. Parents of teenagers will also get a lot out of this book even though it is a work of fiction it deals with very real life issues.
Listen takes place in a small any-town called Marlo which has almost non-existent crime, a friendly community, and someone who wants to make a point. A web site has cropped up, listing private conversations. A stark finger points to gossip all through the town. Life-long friendships are questioned. Suspicions lead to a dead pet, a teen-age girl kidnapped, and a policeman murdered.
Damien Underwood, a newspaper columnist who also does the crossword puzzle, tries to protect his family while looking for clues to how this is happening and who could be so malicious.
