Fifteen years after he hosted the first Mighty Men Conference on his KwaZulu-Natal farm, Angus Buchan is getting ready to inspire men at Canada’s first MMC from June 28 to 30.
Billed as “It’s Time Canada” the event at Pass Creek Fairgrounds, Castlegar , British Columbia will follow the weekend camping pattern that has seen hundreds of thousands of men impacted for Christ in Southern Africa and other parts of the world.
Buchan, who has visited Canada once before, said a Canadian spiritual son of his, Jef Zak, attended the It’s Time prayer gathering in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town in March last year and was impacted by the power of God on display there, when it started to rain during the event and when gangsters came forward.
“We got talking and that’s how it [It’s Time Canada] got started,” he said.
He explained: “We will use the same format that we use in South Africa — and that is to encourage men to be men , to encourage men to take their responsibility as prophet, priest and king in the home — to honour their wives, put bread on the table, lead their children in spiritual things — and to learn to pray for their country, their family and to keep true biblical values, where we see the Word of God under tremendous attack by liberal thinkers who are adding and taking away from God’s Word.”
Buchan said the men of Canada, including many men of the land, have a lot in common with the men of South Africa.
During the MMC event in Canada he will team up with Robin Mark, a Northern Irish singer, songwriter, worship leader and recording artist who has written several songs that are sung throughout the world, including Days of Elijah, Revival and All for Jesus.
