AVODAH invites young believers to a bridging year that unites faith, calling and serving. The Hebrew word avodah carries the combined meaning of work, worship, and serving. First appearing in Genesis 2:15, it reveals God’s original design: that our work and our worship were never meant to be separated, but woven together into a seamless way of life.
At AVODAH, students are equipped to honour God in every area of life. This year-long formation programme combines discipleship, mentorship and practical workplace training through partnerships with Jalia Technologies and World Mission Centre’s Live School.
Growing in character skill and spiritual maturity
Students grow in character, skill and spiritual maturity by establishing daily rhythms, such as nourishing meals, regular exercise, mentoring relationships and hands-on workplace discipleship in fields like graphic design, project management, business analysis, software development, marketing, social media marketing, web design and accounting. Short-term outreach trips to Ethiopia, Mozambique and Lesotho provide frontline experience in cross-cultural ministry, humility and teamwork.
Formation for a lifetime
AVODAH’s aim is simple: to raise a generation who lead with wisdom, integrity and excellence – in church, business, education, the arts and community development. Graduates complete the programme with clarity of calling, workplace experience and habits that endure beyond a single year. This is not merely a gap year or a short course; it’s formation for a lifetime and requires wholehearted commitment.
Applications are now open for students aged 18 to 30.
