2. What inspired you to write this book?

This book was inspired by a transformative conversation I had with the late Advocate Wallace Mgoqi. His deep understanding of justice, rooted in both biblical principles and extensive legal experience, challenged me to reconsider the role of judges in shaping nations. He asked me a simple yet profound question that led me to explore justice from God’s perspective, beyond the confines of our legal systems. This encounter ignited a passion within me to examine the crucial role that judges play in nation-building, and I felt compelled to share these insights through this book.

3. What is the book about?

The Role of Judges in Nation Building examines the significant impact that judges have on the development and shaping of nations. It explores the judiciary’s role in upholding justice, interpreting constitutions, and establishing the moral and legal standards that guide society. The book draws on biblical principles, historical examples, and modern-day case studies to illustrate how judges contribute to nation-building through their decisions and leadership. It highlights the importance of judicial independence, accountability, and the promotion of social justice, economic development, and environmental stewardship.

4. Why did you look at the topic through a biblical lens?

Justice is deeply rooted in biblical teachings, and I believe that understanding justice from a biblical perspective offers profound insights into its true nature and purpose. The Bible provides a foundational view of justice as a divine mandate, reflecting God’s heart for fairness, equity, and the protection of the vulnerable. By examining the role of judges through this lens, I aim to emphasise the timeless principles of justice that should guide their decisions and the broader legal framework of any nation. This approach also highlights the moral and ethical responsibilities of judges as they contribute to the building and shaping of societies.

5. Who should read this book?

This book is intended for anyone interested in the intersections of law, justice, and nation-building. It is particularly valuable for judges, legal professionals, policymakers, and scholars involved in shaping the legal and moral fabric of their societies. Additionally, it will resonate with those passionate about social justice, human rights, and the role of faith in public life. Whether you are a law student, a practitioner in the legal field, or someone seeking a deeper understanding of justice from a biblical perspective, this book offers valuable insights and reflections.

6. Where can it be purchased?
