Since the launch of By The Well With Dr Fay on April 5 Christian viewers have embraced the talk show as a platform to engage in conversations that they would not ordinarily have — inlcuding the need for healing of wounded souls.
Along the way the Holy Spirit led Dr Fay to Exodus 8 in which verse 8 has Moses saying to Pharaoh: “I leave to you the honour of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.” That episode was themed Kill that frog.
On a closer look, Exodus 8, reflects many characteristics of life today — the attacks on people’s lives by frogs of different kinds, colours and sizes. And so it was decided to stay with this theme for the next few months — focusing on different groups each month. May was dedicated to mothers, in honour of Mother’s day on the 8th. Various panels of mothers joined Dr Fay in conversation about Bringing out those frogs. Topics included bringing up children alone without fathers, –whether through divorce, widowhood, step mothering someone else’s children, growing up without a mother under the hands of a step mother or staying with different relatives because of death or conflict.
Dr Fay testified about these and many other frogs in mothers’ lives and people engaged via social media, showing that God’s people are suffocating in their little corners, living like zombies and hungry for meaningful conversation. In each episode a designated panellist led healing prayer over the situations.
Dr Fay decided to continue with the theme of Bringing out those frogs through June — focusing on honouring fathers. “We will be featuring great men of God to share the frogs they are grappling with and how they overcome these very real life battles,” she said. In July the focus will be the “young warriors, the future of the world”.
By the Well with Dr Fay is presented live every first Tuesday of the month in the studio at 12 Dreyer Street, Claremont (see registration details on Warrior Woman of the Kingdom FB page). Viewers may also connect via Facebook every Tuesday from 7pm to 8.30pm. Donations to support the cost of the show can be paid to Nedbank; 1079828060.
