The Mighty Men Movement is off the starting blocks in the United States. South African farmer evangelist Angus Buchan, who addressed 10 000 men in a packed arena at the inaugural Mighty Men USA in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in May this year, is lined up to speak at the Mighty Men USA at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Tennessee on November 17.

Buchan will be sharing the platform with World Outreach Church Senior Pastor, G. Allen Jackson, who has been reaching out to men in Middle Tennessee since 2003. Jackson invited Buchan to speak at the first Mighty Men USA event after meeting him at the 2011 Feast of Tabernacles at the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and being inspired by his direct message of hope in God.

“I think Angus sees the bigger needs driving men to open up to God. He creates a listening strategy. His message is a living reality of God with a magnitude I had never heard before,” says Jackson on the Mighty Men USA page of his church website.

Buchan told the men at the first Mighty Men USA event that their struggles aren’t much different than the struggles of men he preaches to back at home and around the world.

“Across the globe, men are hungry for simple, courageous truth — God’s Truth. Born out of the desire to see men consecrate themselves to God’s purposes in their lives, the Mighty Men movement has come full-force into the United States,” says Jackson on his Mighty Men USA webpage.

In a testimony on the page, ‘Doug in Ohio’ says: “Several of us from the Columbus, Ohio area rented a bus for this event. We rode the bus down, attended the event, and rode the bus back that night, arriving home about 23 hours after we left. This event was amazing and lives were changed! I watched men unashamedly get down on bended knees before God, confessing sins, praying for healing and praying for deliverance from the spirit of rebellion. There is no doubt that healing has taken place while lives and families are being restored through God’s healing touch. Angus spoke of revival occurring in our country and I see this event as being the start of a mighty revival as long as the men of God are willing to lead AND be men of God.”
