Cape Pulpit 729 AM has triumphantly returned to the airwaves after nine months of silence caused by severe financial constraints. The Christian radio station, deeply rooted in the Western Cape community, celebrates this comeback as a testimony of faith, perseverance, and divine restoration.
The station’s leadership reflects on the past year as a season of transformation, guided by the promise of Isaiah 58:9–14: “You’ll rebuild the foundations from out of your past… restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community liveable again.” Staff and volunteers remained steadfast, trusting that God would restore what had been lost, and today their faith has been rewarded.
New home
Cape Pulpit has relocated to the Bible Society House after 12 years at its previous premises. This move is described as both symbolic and divinely orchestrated, representing a fresh chapter for the station’s mission.
Although broadcasting ceased, the ministry never stopped. The team continued producing content and serving listeners, believing for breakthrough “like never before”. The return to its original frequency, 729 AM, is celebrated as a miracle and a sign of renewed strength.
Broadcast and digital access
Listeners across the Western Cape can once again tune in via AM radio. At the same time, Cape Pulpit continues its digital expansion through the Cape Pulpit App, which offers live streaming, podcasts, and uplifting Christian content accessible anytime, anywhere.
The station extends heartfelt thanks to its community of listeners, donors, sponsors, and volunteers whose prayers and support sustained the ministry during its most difficult season. Special recognition is given to Radio Disa (95.9 FM), which simulcast Cape Pulpit’s breakfast show and provided prayerful partnership throughout the station’s absence.
Leadership pays tribute to presenters, contributors, and volunteers whose resilience and commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ remained unwavering. Their dedication has given “resilience and faith a whole new meaning”.
Cape Pulpit’s return is marked by one clear declaration: To God be ALL the glory for what He has done, is doing, and will continue to do through Cape Pulpit 729 AM and its listeners. The station is officially back on 729 AM and invites the community to tune in today.
