If the devil meant to use Charlie Kirk’s assasination at a university in Utah to silence Christian voices on US campuses, he miscalculated badly, said evangelist Daniel Kolenda in an unscripted prophetic response on Sunday.
“Listen, we’ve got 6 000 evangelists that have been trained to preach the Gospel. Let me tell you, those evangelists are coming with me. We’re going to go to university after university. We’re going to preach the Gospel, and we’re going to see God invade this nation. We’re going to knock down the devil’s front door and possess the land in Jesus name,” said the president of Christ for all Nations.
Kolenda began his message at Nations Church, Orlando, which he leads, by explaining he had come there from Dallas, where he was supposed to be, because after Kirk’s slaying he felt a need to “be with my church family”.
He said while many terrible things, including killings, were happening in the world, he sensed there was something different about Kirk’s death by a bullet in the neck – “where the voice comes from”.

“It’s kind of like a visceral prophetic symbol of something that has been happening for a long time, which we have sensed as the Church. We’ve sensed it as the people of God that the enemy is trying to shut down the voice of truth. He’s trying to shut down boldness. He’s trying to shut down those who will fearlessly proclaim what is true and what is real and what is Gospel.
“And our nation has been slowly sliding into complacency and into apostasy. And the things that we have allowed and tolerated and the things that have become normal were almost impossible to even imagine 10 years ago or 20 years ago. And yet here we are. And you know why we’re in this place? It’s because not because the world is so evil. The world’s always been evil. Evil triumphs not because evil is evil. Evil triumphs because good men refuse to speak out,” said Kolenda.

The greatest threat in the world
He said the greatest threat the world faces is not radical Islam – it is lukewarm Christianity. ”Because if the Church will rise up and the Church will speak out, the darkness cannot overcome the light.”
While honouring Charlie for boldly proclaiming the Gospel in hostile campus settings while many preachers “preached to the choir” in churches, he asked if the name of Kirk’s organisation, “Turning Point”, was not a prophetic sign of a moment in God’s providence when the Church would rise up and be a turning point for a generation.
Kolenda said college campuses “are one of the breeding grounds of demonic ideology and the spirit of the age. They’re one of the reasons our country is in the place that it’s in because that seems to be the enemy’s like ground zero where he has targeted.”
But he expressed hope for Gen Z youth, who he said “are different”. He said he believed many had been quietly listening to Charlie and letting him fight their battles.“My prayer is that Charlie’s voice will be raised up and that it will infiltrate and infect a whole generation.” He said he believes the Holy Spirit is calling on US Christians to stand in the gap for Charlie’s voice.
Before stating he and CfaN’s evangelists will take the Gospel from college campus to campus, he said he would be the first to answer the Spirit’s call to stand in the gap.
Kolenda’s pledge to evangelise universities was made more poignant by a testimony he shared earlier in his message. He said that a few weeks ago, Charlie’s Turning Point US team had invited him to speak at an event. He said his first thought had been to wonder why he had been invited as he is not a political person. But the team assured him they wanted him there to preach the Gospel, which he did – and “hundreds of young people came forward to receive Christ”.
