The Company Of Prophets (COP) SA met in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) at a conference hosted at Word of Faith (WOF) Christian Centre from March 16 to 18 with the aim of imparting Kingdom dispensation for the cities of Gqeberha, Makhanda (Grahamstown) and East London.  The guest speakers at the conference were Sheldon Kidwell, Janet Brann-Hollis and Dr Irma Simpson.

Brann-Hollis of Ruach Ministries and COP spoke on the current position and season of the Church. She said churches were not only called for their local areas or churches but for governing of nations and territories under the five-fold ministry.

“In the times and seasons where we are in, we need to govern in the Spirit first to bring about change in the natural,”she said. As the Church understands its identity it will have answers to governing, social and economical problems, she said.

She said that it will become normal for the Church to be involved in the governing and political spheres.  She said she believes we are moving into the Kingdom age with the restoration of apostles and prophets to their rightful positions in the Church to bring about lasting change. Everything rises and falls in times and seasons, she said, encouraging the Church to come under God’s authority and to discern what time and season it is in.

Sheldon Kidwell pastor of Bay City Church, Muizenberg, Cape Town and apostle of Company Of Prophets thanked WOF for hosting the conference and for their “amazing gift of worship”.

He said that God was doing a great work in Gqeberha and that although they had been experiencing drought in the region, he had experienced rain on their trip from East London until Gqeberha. He said he felt God has not forgotten the city and that He is building a resilience in the people of Gqeberha as the Ekklesia to bring about change in the region.

He prophesied that WOF is in the city to bring an understanding of Kingdom governance and order through education to bring down the strongholds in the region, in turn bringing healing to its people, making the city flourish.

He said there is a shift from “Church” to “Kingdom understanding” and that, “if you miss the word, you miss the mission and the purpose”. The original word for Church was Ekklesia from the original manuscripts meaning “called out”. He said to know the meaning of Ekklesia is to know our true Identity as the Church as the “called out ones” or remnant and that he believes in this hour God is calling out his remnant to bring Kingdom change on earth.

Dr Irma Simpson prophetic and apostolic minister COP, Global Streams teacher and leader at Veranderde Lewens Church, Roodepoort, Johannesburg, spoke on the rise of reformers within the Church.  She said we are living in a day where there is massive shift in “how we do Church” and that it is an hour for revival, reformation and transformation.

She said the Church needs to be aligned and positioned correctly to receive the greatest move of God and that it is a season for building and advancing and taking ground. When revival and reformation link arms it will bring about the social transformation that our nation needs.

“The question to ask is how can we see transformation in cultures that find themselves in ruins?” she said.  She said she believes that the state of a region is often the reflection of the state of the Church and that it is time for the remnant to rise as reformers to bring about lasting change in their region and spheres of influence.

She said reformation is the process of establishing a new order and bringing systems and structures back to their original intent and that this new Kingdom order is God’s desire. She said there is a demand in the realm of the Spirit for reformational leaders to arise and take responsibility by governing where He has given them great Kingdom authority.

She said that there will always be a time for revival and that time is now for the city of Gqeberha. She said God is reviving people so they can walk securely in their identities and bring about reformation and social transformation!
