‘Come away with me my darling’ — Lindy-Ann Hopley

Come Away

“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling.
Come away with me!
I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out.
For now is the time, my beautiful one.
The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone.
The rains have soaked the earth and left bright with blossoming flowers.
The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived.
I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.
Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you?
The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth.
The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere.
The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.”
Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place.
For now is the time to arise and come away with me. “
— Song of Songs 2:10-13 (The Passion Translation)

I have been on a little sabbatical with my first love this last month. Upon getting home from the Free State it seemed as if God was closing doors to ultimately invite me deeper with Him.

For those who know me, sitting still is not my thing. But everything was on shutdown — orchestrated by the King. A sabbatical. And I was forced to “come away” with Him and Him alone.

Partly difficult and partly desperate for exactly that.

It was as if I missed Him.

One morning while jogging I said, out of deep longing, to the Lord : “Even with all the signs, wonders and miracles — if I end up losing You in the process — it is not worth it! Even though I love it all — I became a Christian not because of that, but because I fell in love with You.”

I contacted a church down the road from me explaining that I am a preacher and I am looking for a place to worship. They said to come down. Oh and was I ready! I had my dancing clothes on, my journal, my Bibles, and an immense hunger just be alone with Him.

When I got there I chatted to the man running the office and overseeing the church building. He then explained to me that it is a bit inconvenient as sometimes it gets used for other things. “What about now for the next hour?”, I asked kindly. He explained: “It is free, but it’s a bit inconvenient.” I climbed in my car, feeling completely shocked and started to weep.

I remember in our old home my room was big enough to dance and worship God with music blaring as loud as the speakers would go. Sometimes I would get lost for hours at a time in worship. Bliss.

But now, even though grateful for my little nest, it is really little — there is barely space enough to kneel and that with only a single bed in the room. Downstairs is not big either and we don’t have curtains that close and it always seems as if the gardener is right there when I want privacy.

After being turned away by the church I went home very sad. But alas! I decided to move all the movable furniture into the kitchen and discovered that I could pull the drapes across the windows and stick them into the burglar bars. Upon realising I finally have some space and privacy tears started to run down my cheeks. There is nothing like being intimate with the King. Finally.

To worship is to kiss. And a kiss was all I needed. Just what the Doctor ordered.

Of course ministry went on here and there.
With one hand we fight and with one hand we build — it’s a balance.

This one is great!
This man was shot five times! Must watch and please share the post.

First off I spoke at His People Bible School :
The students were hungry and God was willing!

On a Wednesday morning I spoke at Lofdal Centre invited by Dr. Gustav du Toit at a meeting for Leaders – theme “First Love”. Love flooded the room – like He does.

In this season God has also introduced me to some amazing men and women of God – a definite alignment taking place -for things to come.

I also went for an amazing “Sozo” inner healing session in this time – wow always make sure your take time to love on, in other words, take care of – your soul! It was so good! I am going to be going regularly.

Half way through the month I got to be the guest speaker at my good friend Esmé Schmitt’s
TRANSFORMERS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY.

The highlights were when everyone came to the altar for salvation and a boy diagnosed with polio from birth was touched by God! He started walking around the room without his crutches! You can just imagine their faces! Hallelujah!

Can watch a small snippet here.

Absolutely love what God is releasing over young people!

The following two meetings were a bit more unconventional – well at least for me.
LIVE VIDEO PREACHING IN PAKISTAN!
Modern technology – wow!

First I spoke at a Women’s Seminar — watch how they worship!

They brought the Pastor’s wife right up to the phone / front for prayer. She was hit with paralysis and couldn’t lift her arms .
Jesus touched her!

There is no distance in the Spirit!

The second live video meeting was a church meeting.

One lady I prayed for during this meeting had a hump back and was touched by God miraculously when I prayed! The pastor called me yesterday from her house to tell me : “Sister Lindy – she was walking bent over like that for three years! We were all shocked to see her walk up straight!”

All glory to God!

Another exciting adventure has been “NiePlastiek” – not plastic. An Afrikaans show on Instagram that talks about more difficult topics to reach our young people. I did a live video with them just this last week. Go check them out on Insta.

Weekly on Mondays 6:45am you can still tune into CCFM for weekly testimony updates from me and the vidoes go out the same time online on their social media and my Facebook wall!

Watch the last one I did for them.

NEXT UP : PANAMA & PAKISTAN

Love what God is doing?!

I would love for you to partner with me in prayer and through financial support.

God has spoken and I go as He leads. Perhaps you remember my dream about going to a Muslim country and all the millions of fish in the sea in a previous article? I am almost on my way!

Firstly I will be going to Panama. Revival is breaking out and I have been specially invited to come assist in gathering the harvest. The vision is insane and what God is doing there is historical — go check it out! I am serving another man’s vision amd need to raise R40 000. Will you take hands with me?

I am leaving on the 4th of October already!
Ref: Panama.

Then in November I will be off to Pakistan. One of the two countries in my dream. We will be there for 10 days — seven nights of big evangelistic crusade meetings, women’s meetings and so — in four cities. It is going to be crazy! For this we need funds. Lots. Will you ask the Lord right now as you are reading if you are to support this trip? We are believing God for R300 000. This is for stages, lights, sound, busses, advertising, security, and so on.

We appreciate your partnering together with us
as we endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission!

If you have any questions, want to know where I will be speaking next, have a prayer request or would like to invite me to come speak – please contact us via our website www.beautifulwitness.com

Until next month and remember — Take time to be with Him and then …

“Arise, my love.”
– Song of Songs 5:2b (TPT)

The harvest is ready!

  1. May you be filled with wisdom as you minister in Pakistan, where Christians are persecuted and rejected, and women are ‘used’. (Speak slowly, simply and clearly for your translators, they would battle to keep up with you!! I know from personal experience)
May grace and favour be yours, resulting in unending glory fo HIM, our lover and protector.

  2. Lindy-Ann, you are a legend in the Kingdom. Go girl!

  3. Praise the Lord, for vessels like yourself, I will stay with you in prayer..Stay HUMBLE, and be the person JESUS wants you to be, whenever, and wherever HE sends you!!!
