A line cook at Gino’s Restaurant in Baton Rouge saw a divine sight when he cut into an eggplant Monday.
Chef Jermarcus Brady says he found the word “GOD” spelled out in seeds as he was salting and sautéing the vegetables, Fox News affiliate WVUE reports.
“I saw a miraculous image formed by the seeds,” Brady said. “It spelled out the word God!”
Brady, who said his faith has gotten him through many of life’s difficulties, showed the eggplant to Gino Marino, the owner of the restaurant and fellow coworkers.
Marino, has been in business for nearly 50 years, says it is something he will never forget.
“You could cut one million eggplants and you’d probably never see that again, it’s that rare,” said Marino. “God is within us and he has different ways of showing it in our lives, and this is just one way of showing it.”
Awesome :)
Praise the Lord! That just goes to prove that God is omnipresent and has a message for each and everyone of us in this world. I also had a similar experience when the image of our Savior the Lord was present on the inside of a chicken egg I had cracked open while making breakfast. Unfortunately the egg disintegrated over time, however even more miraculous was witnessing what an immense affect it had on my late wife. Focusing on the image she immediately fell to her knees and received the Lord into her heart and in turn reassured my commitment to Him and the belief then knowing that we would be together for eternity at Jesus’s side.
So the saying ‘The Lord works in mysterious ways’ is in essence quite profound. Amen
Awesome Kenk! God is good indeed!
Our “Witness” daily newspaper in Pietermaritzburg recently carried a photograph of a Hindu goddess who appeared in the smoke from a temple fire. This was hailed as an awesome miracle, and confirmed the faith of many Hindu devotees.
Yes, Kenk, I’m glad for your wife. God can use unusual things to brings us to Jesus, but Satan can use unusual things to deceive us (2 Thess 2:9 Matt 7:22,23) Even faith in Jesus’ owm miracle of feeding 5000 gave the crowds faith in the bread, not the True Bread that comes from Heaven, Jesus Himself. (John 6:14,15,26,27 etc).
Whatever triggers faith in Jesus must not be the focus of our faith. Jesus is. He alone is the Saviour. Those who trust in Jesus on the basis of a miracle alone may find that Jesus does not trust himself to them (John 2:23,24) – That’s why “you must be born again” (John 3)
While working with the Indian people in Durban, we witnessed MANY MIRACLES of ‘Jesus’ appearing to HINDUS…and calling them to follow HIM – and that was what sent them to HEAR THE WORD OF GOD & COME TO CHRIST… the vision only made them think! and realized they were not on the right road to meet GOD! YES INDEED, there are MANY instances of Satanic visions & dreams, but when God speaks that way, it ALWAYS results in them coming to CHRIST via THE SCRIPTURES!
Hugh, it seems as if you are a doubting Thomas when it comes to the miracles attributed to our Lord and Savior. In Luke 24:13-32 there was never any doubt that it was not Jesus who revealed himself on the road to Emmaus even though he was initially not recognised. It is a known fact that if you trust and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, Satan may try as hard as he like to entice you he will never usurp God’s love. I do not think you can compare the photograph of the Hindu goddess appearing in the smoke to the revelation I had and the picture of the eggplant by Chef Jermarcus Brady. I have looked at the picture printed in the Natal Witness and can clearly see it has been photo shopped. Thats how Satan works by deceiving the public at large and of course helping to sell newspapers which obviously is run by the opponents of Jesus.
When in doubt I turn to John 14:1. Amen
i have cut open quite a few tomatoes and there are crosses inside. To me it is confirmation that God made everything
Clive you are so right. God is in all of nature thank the Lord Jesus he choose these subtle ways to show His presence to one and all. Read Mark 16:12. Although He said in Exodus 33:20 “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!” he has softened his approach to man by sending His Only Son – the Lord Jesus Christ who died for all our sins – who has appeared to millions of people around the world. God steering mankind into the age of technology has enabled us to document and disseminate such evidence of His existence with ease. The frequency in which these sightings have been happening nowadays is definitely a sign of greater things to come – and soon. As we witness what is transpiring in Israel today, the phenomenal weather patterns and with what the Bible teaches us, we will see the Great Tribulation in our lifetime as recorded in Matthew 24:21.
I pray daily that God continues appearing to mankind in all forms and we take cognisant of his warning that His Son and our Savior will be returning to earth very very soon. Amen.
Cool!!!
