CRASH THE CHATTERBOX: HEARING GOD’S VOICE ABOVE ALL OTHERS by STEVEN FURTICK

One of the reasons that I enjoyed this book is the author’s transparency regarding his own struggles in the area of negative thought patterns. It is so easy to fall into a downward spiral that seems so out of our control and I identified so much with examples from his own life of the Enemy bending his ear. I was positively relieved to learn that I was not alone in having fairly specific thought patterns which he described — and he is not only the Lead Pastor of a megachurch (Elevation Church in Charlotte, Carolina) but a well known author!

Of course, what was also highly uplifting were the well expressed biblical insights and practical advice for “crashing” these voices of self-doubt and self-condemnation, so that God’s voice can be heard above the lies that hold us back from being all we were created to be.

Steven Furtick’s style is humorous and engaging. He has the gift of bringing God’s truths to life in such a way that inspires changed thinking. His strategy is based on fully understanding and holding to four particular truths that can unleash God’s power to fulfill our divine purpose.
