Scripture:
Proverbs 11:3 — “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”
Scripture: Proverbs 11:11 — “Through the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.”
Prayer:
Father, guide the upright, favour Your righteous vessels: men and women chosen by You to possess the municipal gates and frustrate the plans of the wicked who wish to further gain access to state coffers! Expose corruption, bribery, manipulation, and the abuse of power. Thwart every plan for manipulation and collusion for power; and as Your word says: ‘God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble”. Set a guard over our mouths and a watch over the door of our lips, that blessing, praise and honour be heard from our mouths.
Proclamation:
We proclaim that integrity will guide leaders and institutions, and the humble shall possess the gates of our cities! Our Lips shall bring blessing and not cursing.
