Scripture:
2 Corinthians 5:18 — “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;”
Prayer:
Father, heal divisions between parties, races, communities, churches, families, and neighbours. Love covers over a multitude of sins: may we find extraordinary grace to love our neighbours as ourselves. Let Your Love be shed abroad in our hearts for all peoples and leaders of this Land. If we have not love, we are merely clanging cymbals. Love is patient, love is kind, love keeps no record of wrongs… Lord may we be people of love, lavishly displaying the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Proclamation:
We proclaim reconciliation of all people groups, through Christ. His love is made manifest in our hearts, across all divisions in our land. We declare Jesus’ Love keeps no record of wrongs: wipe our historic slate clean Lord, so we can experience a fresh beginning! This is a new beginning for South Africa!
