Scripture:
Psalm 24:3-4 — “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his Holy Place? Those that hath clean hands, and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
Prayer:
Lord, purify our motives, speech, voting decisions, political biases and prejudices. Forgive us where our public conduct has reflected the standard of the world and not of Your Kingdom.
Forgive us where we have tolerated compromise and sin. We invite the Holy Fire of Your Spirit to burn off the uncleanliness in our hearts and cleanse our ambitions and motives, that the Church in the Nation reflect Your standards of purity and holiness.
Proclamation:
We proclaim clean hands, pure hearts, and truthful voices over every aspect of this election season (campaigning, monitoring,
adjudicating, voting, counting). We declare that the power of unrighteous cabals and alliances shall be dismantled in Jesus’ name and Righteous leaders and pure vessels of honour shall be promoted and elected, in every municipality.
