Doreen Hanna and Karen Whiting — Raising a Young Modern Day Princess: Book Review

Book Review by Debbie Hemmens

I was very excited to have the opportunity to review this book. I have read Raising a Modern Day Princess by the same author and regularly implement the rite of passage course that goes along with that book.

It was therefore no surprise that this was yet again another fantastic book.

As it says on the front cover, it’s all about ‘growing the Fruit of the Spirit in your little girl.’

Every page is filled with amazing ideas, games and activities on how to instil love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and faithfulness into your daughter. There are ideas for moms and dads and you will easily see how to carry this out on a one-on-one basis or in a small group.

This process begins and ends with a sparkling, beautifully decorated tea-party with a fruit theme.

There are also personality assessments throughout the book to help you better understand yourself and your young daughter.

You will be delighted with this book and all the exciting ideas inside for your little girls aged 7-9 years and start her off on a journey towards becoming a princess with strength, purpose and strong character. A princess showing the world that her Father is the King of kings.
