Experience the Feast of Tabernacles in Israel this September/October

For God is the King of all the earth: sing praises with understanding – Psalm 47:7

You are invited to join the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) South Africa on a 12-day tour of Israel which includes celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) with thousands of Christians from all over the world. This year’s Feast – themed “King of all the Earth” – will be the 43rd hosted by the ICEJ in what has become the largest and most popular annual tourist event in Israel.

Tabernacles – together with Passover (Pesach) and Pentecost (Shauvot) – is one of three great, annual, biblical pilgrimage festivals when the Jewish people gather in Jerusalem. It is a joyful festival, commemorating God’s provision in the wilderness and the promised, coming Messianic age when all nations will flow to Jerusalem to worship the Messiah King.Tabernacles is unique, however, in that the nations were also invited in ancient times to come up to Jerusalem at this season to worship the Lord alongside the Jewish people.

The ICEJ SA Sukkot Tour 2023 runs from September 28 to October 10 and provides a tantalising taste of key biblical and historical sites in Israel as well as iconic tourism landmarks such as the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi. The Tabernacles celebrations begin with two exciting days in the Galilee, including glorious worship services each evening along the beautiful shores of the Sea of Galilee. Then we ascend to Jerusalem for five days of Feast events, starting with the traditional Roll Call of the Nations in the Pais Arena. There will be more evening worship, morning seminars, communion at the Garden Tomb, the ever-popular Jerusalem March through the streets of the capital and the traditional Israeli guest night, when hundreds of local Israelis join the Feast pilgrims for an evening of music and solidarity. There will also be plenty of time for touring biblical sites.
