The Footprints Festival being held this weekend half an hour from East London has a stunning line-up of events, yet for Christians, significant is the holding of a thanksgiving praise and worship service on the Sunday (June 1, 2014)
Anyone who has attended the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem in the past 10 years will be familiar with the vibrant, velvet voice of Hanli Slabbert, the international concert singer who has been chosen to sing at the Feast for many years. She will be joining in giving God the glory at 11am on Sunday at the end of the Footprints Festival.
The Festival is taking please in the blissful seaside Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay area and starring acts such as five Forté singers from the Gauteng Opera Company promising a stunning performance covering many genres of music together with a gourmet dinner, Kathy Raven, blues singer and SA folk diva with seafood, shows by top comedian Kevin Perkins as Michael Niaker, DJ Des, a Bob Dylan Tribute show and dinner with Mick Laden.
A daily craft market will feature original high-quality arts and crafts as well as local produce. Feet photography for an international World Record in the making, a mini Wedding Expo, massages and reflexology. Pony rides, circus acts and family-friendly movies under the stars. There will be lots to do; art and needlework exhibitions, the Morganville Motorbike Museum; lectures by Kevin Cole of the East London Museum on ancient footprints in the area and the incredible collection of shells at the Hazel Jefferies Museum, a Heritage Hunt for local treasures and a meander through the Bushbuck Trail.
